Rayman Troubleshooting

Post by Cliff »

Not sure if this is the place for this, but I'm new to this whole forum thing and need some help.

Ok so recently I bought all the mainline games on PC through Uplay (in hindsight I should’ve used GOG) and I’ve been having a ton of trouble with 2 and 3 in specific, and I’m wondering if any of y’all could help me with this

So for 2, the game would load and play just fine, but a lot of the textures were missing, with massive pixels in their place. I tried many fixes for this, and through that I ended up changing some display settings I believe. But after these changes, the game now crashes after the opening cutscene before gameplay starts. From here I’ve tried some fixes but nothing seems to do the trick

As for 3, it’s more simple. The game straight up just doesn’t load at all for me, and I can’t really find a specific fix for this, only finding out that it may be that my PC simply cannot handle the game, which I refuse to believe cause it manages to run Origins, Legends, and other console games from that generation pretty well.

So yea I just wanna know what I can do about this

The best resources for fixing problems with Rayman games can be found on Pcgamingwiki.

Rayman 3

As for your specific problem, try out this topic as well:

Rayman 2

The problem with Uplay version of Rayman 2 is that is uses WineD3D wrapper, which works clunky with this game. I'd recommend replace it by dgVoodoo (ddraw.dll from MS/X86 folder and the rest from root folder) and apply 60 FPS patch from vogons (linked above).

For your crash, check DEP fix in a linked article.

Furthermore, please provide your OS (for W10 with build number) and GPU.
