Re: Grand Theft Auto
Let's hope that it's not just another cash grab (assumming that it's actually legit) with slightly updated graphics and cut soundtrack, adding new content in form of CJ-like clothing customization for Claude and Tommy would be great, maybe even allowing them to swim.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
I think this mod is amazing:
Re: Grand Theft Auto
I do find it amazing that Rockstar are still issuing DMCA complaints to people who are modding games like San Andreas which is about 17 years old at this point.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
It's been 8 years since the release of GTA V, time sure does fly by, I wonder how long till the next installment, but considering how Rockstar lately milks this one, it ain't gonna be soon sadly.
Re: Grand Theft Auto
Yeah it's true they're milking GTA V more than ever. Back in the day you'd only have to wait a couple of years for a new GTA, even IV and V had a 5 year gap. Now we've had 8 years with no sign of VI coming in the near future.

Let's hope that these incoming remasters are good enough.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
Looks pretty cool, I like the mix of old and new graphics, would be neat if they also drop a gameplay footage of some missions, what are your thoughts?
Re: Grand Theft Auto
Looks good indeed, obviously work and effort have been put into it. Is it worth buying it if you have the original trilogy on your PC? Not sure.
Re: Grand Theft Auto
I've seen people doing mods on the original games to make them look good, but I'd still consider buying this if it's a fair price.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
GTA IV da bes babee
I've only played IV and V, mostly because I enjoy the Euphoria physics and well-written stories. This is the perfect opportunity now for me to experience the previous entries- I think the graphical updates are superbly done, since they really retain the look and feel of things.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
Hm. So far this new remastered trilogy does not enjoy very positive welcome:

Re: Grand Theft Auto
They turned out to be basically the same games, just with upgraded graphics and lots of glitches apparently, definetely not worth 60$.
Re: Grand Theft Auto
And apparently without many of the radio songs of the original versions, because the licenses for their distributions expired.paulnewman2001 wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:48 pm They turned out to be basically the same games, just with upgraded graphics and lots of glitches apparently, definetely not worth 60$.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
Oh man, like CBS Home Entertainment did with their DVD releases of TV shows?
Re: Grand Theft Auto
Yeah it's annoying that they do this, but they can never remove the songs from our physical versions hehe.dr_st wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 7:01 pmAnd apparently without many of the radio songs of the original versions, because the licenses for their distributions expired.paulnewman2001 wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:48 pm They turned out to be basically the same games, just with upgraded graphics and lots of glitches apparently, definetely not worth 60$.

It's interesting also, because the data for the songs isn't actually removed, it just skips over them. One time I was playing it on Xbox 360 and NWA - Express Yourself came on, which is a song that was supposedly removed from the game. It glitched and just played the song anyway.

Re: Grand Theft Auto
I wonder if Rayman 3 could be made to glitch and play the Edward Scissorhands tune then
Re: Grand Theft Auto
Maybe it has a cheat code.
Re: Grand Theft Auto
I've been to a couple of Walmarts recently. It seems that the only PC games that Walmart sells in physical boxes are some parts of The Sims series, silly "Find the Object" game collections, and... GTA V. Go figure.
Re: Grand Theft Auto
Bump!
So as of recently, I haven't been playing GTA as much. I used to play GTA Online a lot with friends and relatives at one point, we were basically addicted to it. GTA San Andreas will still remain my favourite out of all the games though, since it's not all about graphics and physics when it comes to a game being fun. The game is simply just fun to play, and for a game of its era, it pushed to the limits at the time. Especially when you consider how little RAM the PS2 has (32MB), yet it could still play the game with disc streaming and work relatively well too. I feel it was ahead of its time when it was released, but technology really changed quickly.
