Weird Rayman 1 PC variant I found
Hello, I was looking for lost media when it comes to rayman. But I found this weird PC version of rayman on Archive.org. Apparently, it was released in 1999 and was distributed by AOL (America Online). I'm not sure if anyone on the forum knows the story behind this release? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else and it looks official too. Here's the link in case you're wondering about the source.

Well, I think this version was mentioned before:

https://raymanpc.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 47#p935547
However, I have not checked if this was documented in the wiki.

Yeah, this version is my original copy:
(I have no idea why someone wrote "FALTY". Also, I think a lot of people have this version; I know Hoodcom does too.)

Yeah, I have this one too (got it on eBay at one point). The most interesting aspect of it is that it's the "UNPROTECTED" version of Rayman 1.12 US – unlike all the other versions I know of, it's got absolutely no DRM in its code! It's strange, considering how paranoid Ubisoft have always been about DRM (cf. Rayman 2 Pirate Head and countless other broken games through the years). I wonder if these "Smart Saver" releases were some early, physical, version of the GOG concept…
