Would you rather the next Rayman game be 2D or 3D?

yea same! id love a third mainline ubiart one but id love a new 3d game just as much i think! give me both honestly
though if i had to choose one option that becomes real i think id go with 3d for the rest of the fanbase. id imagine thats what most people would prefer? on top of it being so long since 3 compared to legends

I prefer a new 3D Rayman game over a 2D one because recent 2D Rayman games are recently made from UbiArt Framework, with the exception of Rayman Classic, which its a remake of the original Rayman game...
And, yes, I don't like UbiArt Framework-made Rayman games...

Definitely 3D, the UbiArt games were fun and all but it's time for a real adventure to give the series a second life.

I love the 2D Rayman games. Rayman Legends in particular ranks as one of my favorite games ever made. But I do like Rayman 2 and 3 more. I was introduced to Rayman as a 3D character as well and given that Legends felt like it was the definitive 2D Rayman I feel like we need to go back to the third dimension next time Ubisoft let’s Rayman leave the hole they’ve put him in.

I started with the first Rayman (well, Rayman Junior, actually) so I equally like 2D, but not so much in the recent games. I mean, the UbiArt titles are great and all, but still not the fourth adventure we're waiting for!

3D and it's not a consideration for me. Don't want a third UbiArt Origins/Legends styled 2D game. Two of them was more than enough. Bring Rayman 2 characters/writing with Rayman 3 scoring/combat to the new gen consoles.

That sounds amazing to me. However I wonder how marketable that idea would be in the current state of the videogame industry (since I'm just an occassional player, I ignore what's going on right now and the current trends).

Polokus can be used in so many ways to reinvent the franchise (since he can turn his dreams into reality and create new worlds). However, if you see Polokus as a representation of Michel Ancel, his absense would be a perfect way to simbolize the retirement of Ancel from the videogame industry, and the Glade of Dream being abandoned and in need of looking for another powerful being to rely on (like the Muse of the Poets or Leptys).

Totally agree, that could already be a great game. Of course, I hope to see some innovation as well, and more depth in the lore, specifically about the history of the various sanctuaries and ancient civilizations of the Glade. Hey, one can dream.

If there was to be a new Rayman, it would be in 2D. I was playing the 3D Rayman, but I liked Legends more. Though I'd love to see Rayman's new 3D game.

I think 3D would be better because Raving Rabbids, the final 3D game, was so bad, that I want to flush it down the toilet. But 2D is good too, and I am personally fond of 2D ones, because Origins was my first Rayman game. OH MY GOD I AM SO CONFLICTED!!
