Err...I forgot to follow up my previous post, but despite having the completed zip, I haven't managed to get the game running yet. SoundSplash.mp3 is still missing in it's designated folder so it won't go. I can't seem to convert/create the mp3 file myself, so I just need that one missing file.

The error string:
Failed to convert audio file 'SoundSplash' - source file SoundSplash.mp3' does not exist.

I know you're working on a newer version of the project's code at the moment, but if you could dropbox/zip that one file whenever you get the time, I'd really appreciate it.

Oh sure! That’ll be simple to do! Hopefully this one helps!

Woah, that was fast!
The fix worked, GM actually opens the game up now! Good work!
I can't move them still but I'm safely assuming that's the coding you've been working on lately. The small trees are also have black loose pixels on the bottom left side, just thought I'd mention it since I noticed it.

Ah, that. I’d suggest removing the tree tiles, make a second tile layer and re-add the tree tiles.

Why not just remove the loose pixels from the graphic itself instead of going through all that hassle? Assuming it's related to the picture of the sprite itself?

I think that could work, I recommend trying it to see.

I actually got a bit of the basic coding done for the night and I feel like I’m gonna fall asleep. :D I’ll get back to work on it tomorrow if I can. I’m tired right now.

Err...which tileset is the game actually using? There's several of the same set here... :confus:

Frankly it's not that big of a issue. It'd be the equivalent of finding hay in a needle stack. Painful and for no real reason. I should be more focused on the game itself, the sprites can always be fixed later. Hopefully some coding can move things forward. Literally.

The tileset is the Dream Forest tile. Hope that helps somewhat.

I’m pretty sure I mentioned this before, but I’m also setting up applications for artists! Currently, there’s only two who are working on the character emotion portraits for the game.

The only rule is that art must be digital (it can be traditional as a warm sketch if you wish). 3D renders are also allowed, since the artwork is based on the DKC trilogy artwork.

If interested, DM me I guess.

Sorry if this sounds rude to anyone.

OK so update: The coding is going well, somewhat. I’m trying to get Rayman to switch from 5 idle animations but I’m having trouble.

I couldn’t even get to them yet, as my focus has been on Rayman switching his idle animations. So far, no luck.

I just got his idles fixed, now I’m trying to get his and Reesie’s movements down, yet Reesie is flickering when she moves.

Finished a new animation for Reesie! I wanted to rework her Helicopter Hair to make it look more like Dixie’s Helicopter Spin from the DKC games.

It’s a little messy, but it’s good enough for me.

Attention everyone on the team: A new version of the zip is available to download! It includes the assets, new assets, and the starting code! Currently I'm stuck on getting the animations to work properly, if anybody here who is more experienced with coding can figure this out, that'd be great!

Hey, as a suggestion - in Game Maker you can export your project as a .yyp file that contains all the assets (its used for collaborating or for backing up) so rather than having to share the full folder with everyone, its just one back up file. You can do it via file -> export :) might make your life a bit easier!
