Hahah I love the scare sprites. Kinda reminds me of Rayman 1's idle during boss fights...Or at least it gives me the same kinda vibe.

I started thinking about including underwater levels. And I want an excuse to include Water World GBA in the game. XD
But since they don’t have swimming sprites yet, maybe they could ride on Enguarde the Swordfish.

What boss will their be in the underwater world?

For now, there’s only one underwater level in world 2. The concept of it is that Engurade the Swordfish helps out Rayman and Reesie since they can’t swim. He’s able to charge at enemies, break cages, and find bonus rooms. He basically works like Bzzit but underwear.

I’ve been working on it a lot, though I had to restart everything over since there were some errors in the code I couldn’t fix. I’ll be sure to send the yyp file here to the team ASAP.
So far, I’m getting the animations and sounds together.
I went ahead and made some test emotion portraits for the characters, starting with Rayman!

Four new animations were created in the span of two days! The duo’s animations for when they’re tagged and switching.
First one is Rayman switching.
Second one is Rayman being tagged.
Third one is Reesie being tagged.
And the fourth one is Reesie switching.

Update! I had to restart the entire project all over again due to a bug that couldn't be fixed. So here is the new yyp file! Complete with all the sprites, sounds and very small code!
And yes, it's going by its beta name here.

Update on the game.
I decided to scrap the following character mechanic, instead replacing it with only one character being on screen and the other character comes out when switching out, like in Donkey Kong Land for the Gameboy. The only time Rayman and Reesie would be together on the same screen is in artwork and cutscenes.
It’d be so much easier and less memory reducing.
