Payman wrote:This run was far from perfect since I am still derusting after all the Rayman 3 GBA practice so I used this as a derust stream to get my focus into the game. I think overall this run was okay in some parts where I kept my cool and just continued playing just for practice sake. I would love to work on this category more but I want to move back to 100% so I can really get my skills back with this game.

Payman wrote:The first section was okay but a fuzzball ruined my flow and lost some time. The second section was bad since I messed up my angle to shoot the plum and I lost my roll boost. The third section was good with a new corner cut on the third patch of yellow lava. The fourth section could've been slightly faster had I made a better plum line. The last section was good aside from losing a roll boost and not getting the optimal deathwarp after placing the blue orb on the pedestal.

Sanct. of Stone & Fire: 100% IL - Console in 15m 09s by Payman - 1st place

Submitted: 08/11/2022
Platform: Nintendo 64
Region: USA / NTSC
Payman wrote:This wasn't the perfect run but right now I don't care. The first two splits were good. However the optional temple could've been faster had I got the purple lum strat correctly. The return to the second section was good almost fell down with the plum and lost the run. Third section could've been faster if I didn't have to backtrack after barely missing the lum. The fourth section was really good with the web climbing and skipping the monkey bars. The fifth section I missed blue orb early the first try because my position was slightly different than I was used to. The return to the fourth section was pretty optimal along with the sixth section with the slide. As for the final split I lost a roll boost and had issues grabbing the final lum. Sub 15 is possible but right now I don't feel like doing ILs of this level anymore, especially the inconsistencies with the start of the level.

You know it's a not a linear level when 100% takes over twice as long as Any%...

Payman wrote:This was 20 second improvement from my last PB, since I was still a little rusty and incorporating other strats into the category. My early game wasn't the best but I didn't feel like resetting after failing damage bayoust and lum boost Axel skip so I kept going. Mid game was okay except for some mistakes in Menhir hills 2 and the ending of Canopy but this is my first WR with Jano Skip 6 and I'm happy for that. Late game was mediocre specifically in Echoing caves, Precipice, as well as Rock and Lava. Finally, end game was clutch especially with switch 3 skip 2nd try in Tomb of the Ancients and 3rd try final boss cutscene skip I think what saved WR was first try RNG and fast kill on the Grolgoth. I'm happy with holding together especially when I was raging on Precipice during this run and finishing it to the end.
