Re: Rayman: Alive
It really surpassed my expectations, amazing presentation! However, I really should have submitted my drawing in a bigger resolution, it looked too blurry

What a cool image of Jano! He's such a mysterious but appealing character. What artwork did you make?
Re: Rayman: Alive
Well, I'm coming out of the "Rayman Alive" live show
It was really great! You can really feel the passion on all the projects we saw, some projects hyped me more than others but overall, there is a great job done!
As we say at home : Bravo les gars !

Re: Rayman: Alive
Yeah! The event went waaay beyond my expectations, like, I had no words when it was over!
I had no idea that there are so many interesting projects in the works, I am so proud of the Rayman community, not only for the people behind the projects shown at the event but also for the Rayman fans that watched it!
It was just a great experience to see all these wonderful things live, thanks everyone!
I hope we will have a second edition in future

Re: Rayman: Alive
I am not able to choose my favourite one, all the projects showcased were great!
So many talented people
If I force myself to choose I must base my thoughts on my personal preferences, for example I loved Rayman Lum'o'Grams as I love playing Picross and R2HD for being a remake of my favourite Rayman game!
I also did not expect to see something like the Rayman Legends fan DLC, being a member of the modding community I believed something like that was impossible to make, Droolie never stops surprising us!

Re: Rayman: Alive
I think personally one of my favourites was seeing Rayman 2 HD, but there are many other good titles that showed up there too. Of course there's Polokurse which we're trying to make be a fun game and try our best with it, but some of these 3D games look amazing! Seeing Rayman 3D games with modern technology looks so good, and the music in some of these trailers was amazing too. I liked everything I seen though and I love how passionate people are doing all of this in their free time just to create something for a series they love!
EDIT: Oh and also the new version of Rayman M!

Re: Rayman: Alive
Thanks a lot for the comment and welcome to the site. If you wish you can introduce yourself here.
I loved the entire thing, but the highlight for me was the Rayman M/Arena stuff, simply because it was something that I wished for so long and now it is a reality.
Re: Rayman: Alive
Been a Rayman fan since I was a child, for some years back I just started to follow new drawn games on insta, and just saw this event at youtube (also found this community from that event video). Wow. Really cool stuff I must say.

Re: Rayman: Alive
The show was really amazing, and every project was impressive in its own way. Of course, some are at a very early stage, but the passion that transpires from them is contagious! The sheer amount of projects and the enthusiasm they generate is a testament to the creativity and the determination of the Rayman community, which certainly deserves the qualifier of "alive". Thank you Unheard for organizing this!

Re: Rayman: Alive
I was watching a previous Nintendo Direct and noticed there was a transition animation between announcements/projects, along with a card which shows an image and a phrase to tease what the annoucement is about. I wonder if something like this could be included in future events, since a couple of times I got confused regarding when one fangame presentation ended and the next one started (but maybe it was only me).
Also, before the art showcase, maybe a short text could be included at the beginning explaining what was the art challenge about, but then again it may be considered self-explanatory, and a description/introduction is not needed.

Re: Rayman: Alive
I'll take that into consideration next time. I am a fan of not overexplaining things myself. I planned to make transition cards but it didn't feel right in the final edit. I wanted to make Rayman Alive a cinematic experience, with viewer not knowing what's comming next and when. I'll see what I can do!Elite Piranha wrote: Tue Dec 13, 2022 8:51 pm I was watching a previous Nintendo Direct and noticed there was a transition animation between announcements/projects, along with a card which shows an image and a phrase to tease what the annoucement is about. Re: Rayman: Alive
I still need to watch the Rayman Alive stream in my watch later list...There's a ton of buzz about it on the forum and I'd love to see what everyone's made! I love playing fangames!
