Should Rayman Have Remakes?
So, this thread is to talk about whether the Rayman games should be remade. I would want a remake of is Rayman Arena because I could see an online mode being really cool. (I know we got that with Dolphin), but that seems cool and it would be kind of like CTR: Nitro Fueled. I think that has new levels, right, so maybe this could? Why not just make a new game and add to the series, not just remake the games. As far as fan games, go right ahead! Something to note is that they might score poorly. If you notice the recent Klonoa remakes (Phantasy Reverie Series), they didn't score as well. They scored fine but the originals scored considerably better. If something was remade, it would have to be on the level of like Spyro. Although, I feel like remasters of the Rayman Raving Rabbids games would make since instead of remakes, but yeah. If the games were to be remade, I would want Rayman Arena and 2 the most. Then, (maybe) 3.

Rayman 2 shouldn't have a remake because I think it's already preserved on the ps5 playstation plus premium

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
I don't think remakes are currently warranted, however, were a 3D Rayman 4 to be released, maybe that would be the occasion to remake the previous episodes, in the same way the RE Engine introduced in Resident Evil 7 was used for the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 (and soon, 4)?

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
The thought of Rayman 4 having a new 3D engine that's versatile enough to support remakes of Rayman 2/3/M just reminds me of the effort involved and the sheer unlikelihood that that will ever happen!

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
I'll settle for a Rayman 4 having any 3D engine.

Imagine if they used the one from BG&E2...

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
They would have to release the game first.

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
Not necessarily. The Lyn engine was developed for the original prototype of BG&E2 and got used in several games, including Rabbids Go Home!

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
Fair enough! That makes it a lot more likely then.
Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
Yes, I want to see remakes of first trilogy and Rayman M/Arena, but I don't want to see remakes made by today's Ubisoft.

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
I don't think any of the games in the series need remakes. They're fine as they are.

Re: Should Rayman Have Remakes?
Luckily, I think the games have aged quite well. As it was mentioned before, maybe they could do something if they plan to release Rayman 4, but I think it's pointless right now.
