I've finally started playing Rayman 3 again, and I was just struck by the Bégoniax level. When you hang around inside her house for a while, you really get a sense for what a place of profound misery it is. I'm pretty sure that if you stand near her cauldron after the music ends, you can hear the whines of her previous victims. Then you look around and see all the books and bottles on the shelves, which (knowing the backstory) are probably all about brewing the perfect beauty potion. Each book is another dent in her sanity, each bottle another blot on her physical appearance. Then there's the fact that she nearly kills Rayman, unless you assume that a "GAME OVER" in this section doesn't mean death, but rather being subjected to her sadomasochistic fantasies for a while!

And to think the original plan was for her to be an ally to Rayman…
Also, I've probably mentioned this before, but has anyone else noticed that the Teensie Highway seems to constrict into an elliptical shape shortly before Rayman falls off it? That is to say, the same shape as the mirrors he uses to teleport once he actually does fall off? I noticed this many many years ago (long before I joined RaymanPC), and I've always wondered if there's a connection…
