The whole situation was just dumb, Retro should have looked more into it. Instead he made a whole announcement about R3HHDX being behind it. And the owner was just tired of dealing drama, he already was dealing with a person impersonating him then had to deal with that stuff. So he just didn't wanna be a part of this community anymore
Oh about the announcement, I would sincerely apologise to how things escalated, what meant to be an withdraw of the support of the project, due to certain member of the team's actions. Actually escalated to something far greater than I imagined. In all honesty, I was keeping other's safety in mind when I did the announcement rather than starting a drama mill. It was never intended to make them quit or even demoralise the team in anyway. I would love to preface, despite my opinons on the matter, I was open for other supporting the project, it's just the server wasn't going to. That's really the notion behind that post. Also, there was a bit of confusion as the person, Nate always made it sound like R3 HHDX was his project. Hence why, I made that connection, the post wasn't to slander or shame the team. However, I wasn't going to allow that individual to cause potential distress among members and mainly Steo. What made things more jarring, it's how things got the point, that the project was axed which I'm deeply sorry for the unforunate circumstances. I would be more careful with wording next time. That was just a very huge blunder on my end and I would take full accountablity for the mistake. The rest of the team are more so affected by the owner of the project being falsely accused of this stuff, though they're alright now. None of the team or even R3HHDX was involved with this, it was just a guy who sometimes helped on the project. But this same guy helps on several other projects, most notably Scepter of Leptys. So I don't know why R3HHDX got targeted by Retros announcement
I would like to emphasis a bit of context, when I actually was going to make an announcement, the account was already trying to start an conflict prior it, saying we were spreading lies about what happened to Steo. When confronted, Nate, he weirdly got defensive about the claim and the twitter account to my shock was saying we were trying to slander them. So unintentionally, I thought the person behind the account was Nate. Sooner, I realised I made a big error and owner was different person. So that's pretty where I would say I was at fault. I hope the project will be able to be picked up again since it was a shame things ended that way. We want fan projects to flourish, we really don't want them to end to pointless drama which could have been handled better.
