I'm aware about the incident. DA Staff was already too late to "fix" it all. In my honest opinion, they should have thought about it through. I'm pretty bitter about the situation. Although I haven't said a word regarding Ai art, I'm staying on DeviantArt regardless.

AI is still going strong as we speak. Which isn't a good thing. As a artist who makes art for a living, Ai art isn't real art. Since the rise of Ai "Art" I've been earning less and less in revenue. And at some point in my life I can't keep depending on benefits to live or to pay rent to keep living in my parents house. And this is a sentence I was hoping I'd never have to say publicly.

Btw, I just found out that a lawsuit was filed against DeviantArt (and other 2 subjects) for using for using Stable Diffusion. Lawyer Matthew Butterick pointed out that:

...Stable Diffusion was trained with millions of pieces of data, which included copyrighted works of art by artists who did not give permission for their creations to be used. Furthermore, they did not receive credit or pay in the process.

It's sad to know that your earnings have been affected, hopefully there will be a better way for AI and artists to coexist.

Nowadays when it comes to social media, I tend to find myself using Discord a lot due to the multiple purposes it can be used for. Sometimes I check the likes of Twitter but seldom in comparison to a few years ago.

Anyone using Threads? I think it's still not available here because the Instagram integration causes GDPR problems, but I've heard it's siphoning off Twitter's userbase at an alarming rate…

I don't know if they still work, but there were a few tricks which allowed you to use Threads in Europe.
Is it really that different? What I've seen is pretty much the same. Also, I'm a bit confused about the idea of having your Instagram account linked to your Threads account. Is it necessary to do that?

As I understand it, it's designed as just an extension of Instagram, using all the same accounts and infrastructure. But that does cause data protection concerns, so they'll probably have to reengineer it a bit...

As for social media I use the most, definitely Discord for several reasons.
