As for the question... I have no idea, it's the first time I'm hearing that there was a different map for the PC version . I'll make a wild guess and say that they probably removed the Cave of Bad Dreams from that map.

The font is different, but it is not what I would call a discrepancy. In any case, you are not supposed to look things up after the question is asked.

The Cave of Bad Dreams is present on both maps.

I'll re-emphasize: it is not about the difference between the two maps, but specifically about a discrepancy (inconsistency, error) that is present on the N64 map only.

I'll give it another day or two and then move on.
