Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
As for so "boring" soundtrack results in poll are pretty good 8-8-7 (7 for R2).
Well, apparently world changes. Nowadays everything is more and more loud and vivid.

Uhh, I only said Rayman 2 was boring. And the first 3 games have way more votes because those games have had a bigger impact on those voters' lives.
Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
but actually i think you're kinda right here and there, rayman 2 is definitely not my favourite of the bunch despite being the most atmospheric of them all.Bradandez wrote:wuhhhh buhhhhhh im a fucking piece of shit top 1 worst members of raymanpc number 1 bradley rayman 2 is boring because im stupid and i only like shitty cartoon anime rayman running simulator
Personally i picked Rayman 3, probably mostly because it's nostalgic to me and it's the most i know best. More objectively i think either r1 or legends has the best soundtrack, i think the music is the biggest contributor to rayman 1's artsy tone, and rayman legends' OST just oozes of creativity and you can really tell someone worked their ass off trying to make it as insane and big as they could. It's a good step up from origins too, which imo has the lamest of soundtrack of them all.

lol, fuck you Keane.

I agree with your facepalm.

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
I would have to say out of all the Rayman games, Rayman 1 is my favourite soundtrack out of all the Rayman Games.
Rayman 3 comes a close second with Rayman 2 in third place, followed by Rayman Arena.
That’s not to so I dislike any of the aforementioned, I think all the Rayman soundtracks are fantastic and branch out into their own style.
I can’t say much about the soundtrack for Rayman Origins or Legends as I haven’t played much of Origins or any of Legends.

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Tough call between Rayman 1 and 2 for me.
Rayman 1's music is absolutely breathtaking in places, but the tracks are all very short and the majority of them are just ambient nature sounds.
Rayman 2 has the opposite problem, tracks are long and take far too much time to get to the good part, but when they do, man is it good.
-
Rayman 3 has a few good atmospheric tracks and a few catchy, energetic tracks, but nothing really in-between. Doesn't always flow very well.
Origins took a lot of cues from both Rayman 1 and 2, some really short, orchestral tracks, and some tracks that take too long to get to the point.
Legends is a step up from Origins, it flows together a bit better but still doesn't have many stand out tracks.
-
My vote goes to Rayman 2 since the main theme is my favorite track from the franchise, I get tingles every time I hear it. Some might call it overused, but it's masterfully woven into just the right areas of the game for maximum impact, and the choice to use it for both triumphant moments and in a darker tone for the pirates was absolutely brilliant. The overall use of the tune is the glue that holds the soundtrack together perfectly.

Thanks for comment!
Results of the pool: 11 vs 8 vs 9
R 1 2 3
edit 11 9 11
Still, maybe there is someone who would speak out

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Rayman 3 was a stark contrast to Rayman 2 in terms of soundtrack. I remember liking the Rayman 2 OST, but never remembering any of it. Rayman 3 has the Magic Hoodoo Theme, so I guess it wins by default. Although, Legends and Origins have some nice themes too in hindsight.
Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
What about moving this thread to RayTunes section? It would be more popular there.
Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Its a pretty tough question. Most of the music in R2 is not bad at all, but it is mostly environmental and calm. I just don't remember much. But Boarding the Pirate Ship from R2 was a track that stood out to me.
The R1 soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous to me.
Most music I come back to listen again and again is from Legends. But I should play the games over again to re-evaluate. Its been awhile since I touched the trilogy.

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
I feel like all the games have a lot of great pieces of soundtrack but to me the best one definitely has to be R1's Because of the huge varity of tunes, unlike R2's that mostly reused the same theme (however still in a very effective way) but they're still all very close for me.

Some of the tracks in Legends are pretty stand-out. Rayman 2 sounded lovely, just not memorable lovely.

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Don't really have a favorite soundtrack as of yet...there are just lots of tunes from each of the games I just happen to like.

Til recently, I hadn't figured out where this track played in Rayman 3, all I knew was that it was in the Land of the Livid Dead.lyndo64 wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 2:16 am Windmill Hills is one of my favorite tracks in any video game
