You should be able to easily get over 40K in TLS, the fact that you didn't suggests you didn't optimize one of the combos (there aren't so many of them). So you could replay just that and it would add at least 2.5K points to your total score.

I struggled a lot with the very first combo (red gems + beating the shoe + Matuvu + yellow gems + green gem), that's the big deal. In the end I decided to complete it the normal way, but yeah, that's something I should definitely try to do.

Well done on your score Dave! But yeah you should take it easy otherwise you might stress yourself playing the game. I know I did when I got my current high score and I'm fairly certain I can do better (although frankly I haven't gone back to play in a long time now so....heh)

I have the same feeling as you do. I think I can push harder at some points, but I wouldn't like to burn-out playing this game... As you said, it's better to take it easy. Are you planning to do another run? Even if you haven't played the game for a while, it's relatively easy to adapt and gain some confidence with the mechanics.

You don't need to do this whole combo at once to get 40K. You need it for 43K, sure, but for 40K just this is enough:

Because hitting the shoe gives you the extended combo time (like after destroying a hoodlum), it is possible with good timing to defeat the shoe, grab the lockjaw and jump into the secret room before the combo timer runs out, collecting all gems in combo, giving an extra 6K for the last green gem.

I'd have to check again when I visit back home since that's where my copy of Rayman 3 and the console is, but I don't remember it being that high! Maybe when I beat the PC version I can update you on that. What's your score, Jonster?
