If you had to choose anyone to be the main antagonist for the rest of the Rayman series, who'd it be?

Dunno about the curvy girls, but does this theory go any way towards being as interesting?

Razorbeard has potential to become Rayman's nemesis since he's the only villain to appear in most games: Rayman 2, Rayman Arena/M (even if not story driven, but still) Rayman 3 (as main antagonist in a GBA version and as an Easter Egg in the console version) and Rayman Kart. Also in the animated series, but acting like a lackey instead.
Been still waiting for "Rayman 2 - part 2" since he survives the boss fight and his aftermath is unknown.
Even though I never played Rayman 1 nor Origins and Legends, Mr. Dark sounds like the "perfect" nemesis to Rayman (dark vs light) and can agree with all the comments here.

Mr. Dark is so cool, he needs to be in another mainline Rayman game.

OTTO TORX FROM RABBIDS INVASION.
No serious, I think he'd make a great villain in the Rayman series. He's lackluster, poor, and weak in the Rabbids TV series. But if the right writers were hired, and they do experiments with Torx, then he'd be on par with Razorbeard and MR. Dark for being the most notorious villains who do/did deplorable shit.
And he'd be the first human antagonist for Rayman and co to defeat. Let alone one with no magical powers, yet is still a threat you shouldn't underestimate.

Seems appropriate, given the age bracket of those who've been waiting most patiently for this putative sequelGreengoop wrote: Tue Aug 08, 2023 6:57 pm Tbh if they made any of those guys antagonist the game would be 19+

Re: If you had to choose anyone to be the main antagonist for the rest of the Rayman series, who'd it be?
In perspective, I find that insane that all the games of the original trilogy gave potential for each villain to return (aside from Reflux) in a new mainline game and yet they never did...
Both Mr Dark and Razorbeard escaped, and André could be turned back into a Black Lum at any time.
It's sad that the closest we got to their return were handheld spin-offs and Rayman Mini where Mr Dark isn't even an antagonist despite having such a perfect new design...
As much as I would love a new villain (and something that's not a boring and uneccessary retcon of a past side character
), it would have been so cool to have the trio working against Rayman in a sort of "Rayman Generations" game years after Rayman 3.

Yeah we never knew what happened to Razorbeard after he left the Crow's Nest at the end. Did he just leave the Glade of Dreams after he believed he killed Rayman? Or....

I think he simply returned to his home world or whatever pirate base he may have in store somewhere in the universe... His appearance in the credits clearly imply he travelled far away in space.
Makes me wonder if he actually considered returning some day to get his revenge, or if he just totally noped out of the Glade of Dreams thinking it wouldn't be worth it to return

Maybe Razorbeard after all. He is comical and threatening at the same time.

The end of the game certainly gives that impression, but thinking about it, you have to wonder if the inhabitants of the Glade decided to put any measures in place to stop it happening again, after they finished that night's sleep…Rayman Saturn wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 9:52 pm André could be turned back into a Black Lum at any time.

That would make sense. Actually, he didn't die in Rayman 2, so he could come back for revenge...dr_st wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 11:30 pm Maybe Razorbeard after all. He is comical and threatening at the same time.
