What do you prefer PS1 or Saturn victory jingle?
I was never a fan of the record scratch! I felt like they were trying too hard to make it sound cool lol

Woah!! We can just plug Raytunes into our posts? This is amazing. And I’m glad to be around! I’ve mostly just watched from the sidelines until now haha
Yup, that's been a thing for a long time now! And since we're on that note

Here's an eggsample (sorry the button is broken and I'm feeling lazy, heh)

Aaah, I see! Sorry about that! I will try to keep my posts in one big one. I actually don’t remember ever hearing the drums victory theme and only remember it from certain level start-ups, but I only ever played the computer version with my dad, so that could be why! Very interesting, but nothing could ever beat the PS1 version for me though

Oh no, I posted the drums theme by mistake actually, my bad :oops2:

I tested that once though and the theme can play in every level as long as you’re entering a level in a different world.

Well you could have fooled me! :P So I see you’ve tinkered around with R1! It’s always cool to take apart these games and see how they work, but I usually rely on my more tech-savvy friends to make those discoveries for me

Greengoop wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:37 am Alright I’m not reading the third one but idk if you’re talking about Mansay or the R1 magician in the first one, and with the second when does Betilla like Ales?
Well... For first I talk about them both. Just because Ales Mansay from UbiArt games and Magician from R1 — it's all one person, same character. I don't like ship with Teensie version, but anyway R1 Magician is not better, then that.

And second... Oh, I can remember a lot of references about that ship by fans. Arts of Belarix Funguerola and russian fanfic of Lara Isil (Rayman: The Fairy Moon). In their headcanons Magician was a good guy alike in R1, but then he became evil, start like Mister Dark and became Teensie. But after all that he steps back to the goodies and became Betilla lover. I don't want to tell that artists is bad for me. No! Just I don't like that way to ship them both... And just that ship.

Oh, and yes. ShaloneSK also did headcanon alike here. But there that story about bad Magician, that became good (here in form of Teensie) is so weird and dirt thing... I can't find even badass word in russian to describe her comics and arts. Arts of Shalone Howard.

I don’t even care about any rayman shippings, you just have to enjoy the games and not draw the characters together

Well, Ray×Ly was featured (or implied) in some official artwork though…

I will die on the Rayman and Ly hill. I love them so much  It makes me wonder why they completely wrote her out of any future plotlines and made characters like Raynette and others. Sometimes I wonder if many of the teams that handled Rayman past 2007 were really as invested in the original storylines as the fans were

I'm with Goop tbh, I don't really care for Rayman shippings. People are free to believe what they wish though in that regard.

I'm with you all the way on Rayman and Ly :coeur: And yes, that's exactly what I'm worried about with the teams handling Rayman since 2007, and any potential new teams. But I've heard Davide Soliani may be truer to its origins than some of the others, so… fingers crossed I guess?

Ah, no way!! I love seeing other RayLy fans! I'm actually so invested in them that I'm making a whole animated short just to give an explanation as to why she's never seen anymore. It's a bit melancholic, but I think fans of the two of them would like it a lot.

Oooh, yeah. Right there with you Plum! Soliani has my trust, and that's not just something I would say as someone who didn't like the Rabbid or Ubiart eras. Since he started his job at Ubisoft with Rayman in the late 90's, I think he knows very well what we miss from the series. :hap:

Here's an unpopular opinion:

Rayman 1 is actually a fairly easy game, which even a child can beat without cheats. :mryellow:

I'm probably a horrible gamer then :hinhin: But hey, I would be interested in seeing your gameplay! Nothing is more mesmerizing than someone who is exceptional at R1

Just because I mention an unpopular opinion, doesn't mean I actually hold it. :P

I'm not exceptional by any means, but I did beat R1 as a teenager and didn't feel it was excruciatingly difficult. I do believe I cheated during my first playthrough, and then did another one fairly.

That is definitely an unpopular opinion to me! I couldn't even finish Rayman Advance as a kid. Although I didn't use cheats though, so... :P
