What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?

Like I said earlier, I think it's actually pretty good. I notably like its additions, which are so much better than the nonsense they came up with in Rayman Revolution.

Hm...I don't think I've ever liked the DS ones since I've heard of that last lum glitch, and I've got a couple Rayman 2 versions already.

I actually thought Revolution was really nice, since I grew up with the N64 version, I got tired of the N64's boring map. I couldn't go anywhere other than following a line. Which was okay in Rayman 1 since the vibe was much different there. Rayman 2 was a 3D game so I wanted to wander around...

The PS1 version was full of neat little surprises too, but I didn't play that one, ChronicTraitor did. Was a fun watch even though we were really just there for the 100% secret thingy.

I also really enjoy the GBC Rayman 2. I just think it's neat in it's own odd little way. (I don't know if Rayman 3 on the GBA counts, but that one's pretty good.)

I haven't played the Dreamcast one, but I'd rather not since I've got Revolution...I never did get to download the IOS one, but that probably would've been kinda weird for me. I'm used to having a physical controller in my hands while playing video games.

I must at least recognize that Grolem 13 is honest with us in that the word "Recyclus" in his tagline is a fair assessment of the creativity and inventiveness it took to design that character.

I maintain that the worst version of Rayman 2 is the GBC version.

I started Rayman with the first one on GBC and I learned later about the existence of the 2 on GBC and when I looked at the pictures, I couldn't believe that it was a real game, I saw it more as a Rom Hack of Rayman 1.

Rayman 2 on GBC ( Rayman Forever , Rayman 2 Forever I never know its title ) it's just a reskin of the first Rayman on GBC in a much less pretty way .

I find the levels less inspired and less detailed, but the worst are the drawings as cinematics. I'm sorry, but it's very ugly !

The first one was really nice but the second one is really bad.

I despise revolution because of how much of a clusterfuck it is. Its hubworld is boring, the loading breaks the pace, the acting is lifeless, the new stuff is uninteresting, and the controls are horrific. It overall is a huge shit stain on the legacy of Rayman 2.

Well, I did like some of the additions, like the zombie pirates, but overall, I think this is one of most accurate reviews of Revolution I have seen in a while.

It feels a lot like a "Director's Cut" aka "Extended Edition" version of a film, that was put together from poorly edited material and delivered on a subpar medium (or "interface"). Like they wanted to cram in every bit of content they had from working on the game, without properly assessing how much it fits or doesn't fit in with the rest, and ensuring quality and consistency.

Rayman 2 on PS1. Less levels, less lums, worse graphics and the levels left in the game have had branching paths removed.

I would almost prefer the 3ds version capped at 30 fps because it's pretty jarring when it switches to 60 for a few seconds.

The DS version still feels like the worst to me, all because of the awful controls which simply murder my fingers. Rayman 2 isn't built for that kind of tiny D-pad...
That and the fact I got many crashes/freezes and it has the worst sound quality from all the versions I've experienced. It wasn't fun at all.
I've only didn't play the N64, Dreamcast and iOS ones, so only the latter could possibly be worst.

As much as a broken mess Rayman 3D is, it has good controls and graphics to make up for it at least.
I've even preferred Rayman 2 Forever, as flawed as it is compared to its predecessor.

By some strange miracle, this game is the only American DS title I happened to find and buy, so my ears were spared from the EU version. If I already find the NA version this bad already, then I can't imagine what torture there is in the EU release
