Re: 1001 Lums? (Rayman 2)
Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. But playing the PS1 version is a detail that one should really mention in a topic that's otherwise about ≥1000 Lums

That's true, you're right. Although if you think about it none of the games in R2 technically have over 1000 lums, by the time you get to the secret lum, Razorbeard will have already eaten the 1000th lum, supposedly. Your statement still makes sense though.

Re: 1001 Lums? (Rayman 2)
Actually that's true. Even if you somehow hack the game to reach the Tomb of the Ancients early, when you jump in there it will play a Razorbeard cutscene first. That guarantees that you will have seen the Lum getting eaten before you reach that point in the game!

Re: 1001 Lums? (Rayman 2)
I’m playing on 3DS so I do need 1000, and also I just played the game and kinda ignored the lumsThe Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 2:50 am Either that or he didn't actually finish the game!
Well that depends which version he played. He might only need 200.PluMGMK wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 10:50 pm That means you get to have more fun going back and searching for the other 400!After a while you get a feel for where they might be, and don't forget to listen out for the flapping of the Super Yellow Lums' wings

I've never fully 100% Rayman 2 before, still gotta all the lums and cages in the 3DS version.

I seriously don’t see any reward in 100%ing rayman 2, should we make an R2 hall of fame?

See that makes sense, you need to have a certain amount of lums when you get to sanctuary levels.

No why would there be one?Greengoop wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 7:38 am I seriously don’t see any reward in 100%ing rayman 2, should we make an R2 hall of fame?
Hmmm I'm under the impression you're the kind of person to blow through a game's levels than stop to have a look around at all the interesting things, am I right?

Then it definitely makes much more sense to me now why you don't really care for R2 and like playing a game such as Origins or Legends.

OK, so getting number 1000 is gonna be awkward for you if you're playing that version!

Doesn't it involve exiting to the menu after a softlock?

Re: 1001 Lums? (Rayman 2)
I mean that’s easier than having to quit the game entirely due to a bug like that.
Edit: Ok heh…heh… clearly I’m starting to crack
