What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?

OK, it's N64 based. Yeah, I think I knew that, that piece of information just got covered in cobwebs somewhere back there… So is this EU version on RayTunes? (I guess I could just go check )

Speaking of which, I do remember that Rayman 3D had hidden remade versions of the N64 soundtrack in its files and it's definitely not on RayTunes. I think MilesTheCreator uploaded it somewhere, but I don't remember... I still have the music files though.

Of course it did. After all, how could the version that breaks the 1000th Lum chamber not have such a profound connection to the terrible DS version?

The DS version still feels like the worst to me, all because of the awful controls which simply murder my fingers. Rayman 2 isn't built for that kind of tiny D-pad...
That and the fact I got many crashes/freezes and it has the worst sound quality from all the versions I've experienced. It wasn't fun at all.
I've only didn't play the N64, Dreamcast and iOS ones, so only the latter could possibly be worst.

As much as a broken mess Rayman 3D is, it has good controls and graphics to make up for it at least.
I've even preferred Rayman 2 Forever, as flawed as it is compared to its predecessor.

The DS version is literally a port of the N64 version, with the graphics, music quality and all. But the N64 version is better. PC version, Dreamcast version, are like enhanced ports of N64.

I'm sure people have made very similar posts here in the past, but I wanted to ask given the current opinions. I always thought the PS1 version was considered to be the worst, but now I'm seeing a lot of people say the PS2 version is worse. This interests me, as many used to say the PS2 version was the second best after the Dreamcast version. There's also the DS/3DS versions which have always drawn a mixed response, and the IOS version which nobody talks about. With that being said, what do you guys think is the worst version?

honestly with all the different versions i kind of lost count
but probably rayman ds/3ds

DS and 3DS are like day and night compared, just the platforms makes everyone link them up. DS is pretty bad but I’ve heard negatively about the PS2 version

I've always thought about the PS2 version as some alternate version of Rayman 2, because it's different in a way. I appreciate how unique it is compared to other ports.

You can, but that's not the point. People who discovered the game through this version didn't understand the existence of this broken room, and thought it was left in there by mistake, rather than being an integral part of the story (which it is, despite being an Easter Egg).

Yes, the bouncing web at the back of the room is broken, so you're stuck. If you do manage to damage-boost from a spider to get to the 1000th Lum, then you get softlocked instead of being allowed to proceed to the next level

I always did the menu trick to get that Lum since Ubi's incompetence needed so desperetaly to be fixed.
At least it's the only crash there is in that version while the same level crashed about 4 times when I got to the tomb's spiders in the DS version

Also, Revolution is peak Rayman 2 even with its flaws and nobody can convince me otherwise.

Well I can say this about Revolution, the English voice acting is much better.

Ngl I prefer the PS1 voice acting because it feels like it suits the tone of the game a lot
