I know hamsters are infamous for similar stuff, but apparently that only happens when they're fed on grains which they shouldn't naturally be. It drives them crazy… I read about it many years ago, I've forgotten the details

And I know EXACTLY what you mean by preferring the 90's and 2000's style, as I'm actually a vintage preservation artist. It's always been my favorite era to pull from. As for how they can do so much with so little, the textures of Rayman 3 come to mind. Begoniax, for example, is actually a very low poly model, but with gorgeously detailed textures she has stood the test of time and fits well in the world despite her limitations!

Speaking of all-nighters, I have fond memories of spending those 24 hours of record day guzzling energy drinks while eating home-made cookies and listening to catchy tunes to keep me up. This year wasn't the year, but who knows, maybe I'll do it again one day.

The final cutscene really didn't make it clear enough that she had used the mirror to teleport tbh. Presumably she had been watching Rayman the whole time, just like in the cut version, they just don't make it obvious at all…
