It’s the fact that after you purchase the game it doesn’t tell you what to do next, I had to find a YouTube tutorial for it
Ah, I see. It's true that it's not as obvious as some other platforms when you're unfamiliar with it.
Unpopular opinion: I prefer the GBA version of Raving Rabbids just a bit more than Rayman 3 GBA.

Yeah, that's more or less what happened. All the ideas were scrapped basically because Ubisoft was told to develop it as a party game. But I don't know, it would have been interesting to see a 3D Rayman game on the PS3... I wonder what would have happened to the series. Would Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends exist?
If not for Raving Rabbids, they wouldn’t try so hard to rebrand Rayman to try and garner a following for him again, so we would likely still see 3D Rayman today! What an interesting path that would have been

I don't want to take the risk !
But I know that some people here would be able to.

That’s a debate as old as time, or at least as old as the games are

You realize that we only have 3d! On TV at the cinema on consoles! Why do you always want more? Even on TV, 2D animation is becoming rarer! For me independent platformers in 2d put misery at AAA games

There was a bit of a 2D reboot it appears from 2006-2013 in the gaming industry, but they’ve gone back to being looked down on again

Maybe if they chose an art style more reminiscent of the first Rayman game, I would be more forgiving. Ubiart is the farthest feeling from how the games used to feel to me, personally.

So, no innovation
I find that presented Rayman as a Legend refreshed the saga and gives it such an epic side

To be fair, the UbiArt games became the opposite of innovation when Legends and the recycled mobile games happened in the past 10 years and decided to play the same way as their predecessor and share similar visuals rather than being their own thing like Rayman 1, 2, 3, M and a few other titles did (for their gameplay and the transition from 2D to 3D at least).

I apologize, but I hardly find the same engine used for two full-priced games, the second nearly copy and pasted from the first aside from a slight change in rendering, innovative. Even in terms of story it has nothing to offer the player. The characters once so expressive now have one, unchanging emotion. On top of that you have a new character named Barbara with no personality or story as to why she’s there. She just… shows up. Legends really doesn’t wow me, personally. That’s just me, though! Again, you can like the game if you want to, dumbo.

There was innovation between Origins and Legends !
- Control of Murphy
- 3d Animation
- New Graphisms
- Kung Foot
- Just the "Legends" theme
- New characters
- Musical Levels
and it's obvious that mobile games don't matter because it's Ubisoft's fault if it doesn't see the potential of Ubiart.

It's something from a really old post that's been bugging me since before I joined RPC but I'll just spit it out:
I actually like the whole Jimmy in Hereitscool idea.
Even before they found that prototype of it and all I had was a picture of those few screenshots from that magazine, I thought it would've made a fine game. I probably would've loved it, even! Old CGI virtual world stuff has always fascinated me, so a game made to look raytraced and set in some fantastical imaginary computer world where a kid provides his own antivirus is right down my alley.
At least Raydesigner has a Jimmy skin for me to use.
(Shame there isn't a skin for the second player as well!)

Michel Ancel have a lot of history to tell (the reign of Ales, the war between toads and livingstones, etc ...) we must not blame the games but Ubisoft who wasted all the potential !

It’s not the storyline they didn’t go with for me, it’s the whole of ubiart. I don’t like the art style and the drastic change of design and personality to multiple main characters. I don’t even recognize Betilla and the Magician anymore, let alone them making the Magician a Mr. Dark fanboy after what happened in Rayman 1 (???). It just feels like an alternative universe to me, as an OG fan
