Games you consider overrated

Baby Daisy is said to be unnecessary as well, and I obviously agreed with that.
But at least they didn't think ahead and go overboard as far as creations are concerned. That's a first.

I wish they took this in consideration for Mario Kart 8 or maybe Deluxe, though. Seriously.

But still, though.. I didn't care about the characters..... MUCH. The gameplay is tremendously right but it is just not as Good as Mario Kart Wii's at all (at least on the competitive side of things). It is meant for new players not meant to be competitive.

I never thought of those characters like that since I never used them, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. MK Wii sounds like a lot of fun though so I look forward to trying it again

Oh hey, I found another game I find overrated, said the curious bloke trying to dig up this topic.

It's Unreal Tournament 2004

The global opinion is that this game is the best in the series, and every single fucking time I play it I have to stop to go back to UT99 because I find it better in every aspect (except number of polygons, I suppose). The game feels faster, the weapons have more variety, the structure of the single player campaign is amazingly structured and in all of these aspects UT2004 struggles to compete. Just like all the games I've presented in here it is not bad, but not worthy of the praise it gets.

Also, since Quake did it, I'd like to see some kind of hero-shooter in the universe of Unreal Tournament. That I'd pay for.

I admit that I like the older Mario Kart more and I actually like Diddy Kong Racing a lot, but I agree with Fortnite being overrated. At first I thought it seemed ok, but people take the game way too seriously and get very overly competitive when the game is not even that great in my opinion.

As long as it's free, Fortnite will have good value. It's mechanically sound, frequently balanced and Epic is inventive enough to implement new modes every once in a while. I will agree that the audience of (mostly) 9 year-olds and streamers that have the maturity of the general audience is tiring, but on Switch their impact is limited cause rarely is the micro system used.

It's not the best game ever by any means but the fact that it unseated PUBG off the Battle-Royale throne and wasn't unseated by Black Ops iiii is proof of its quality.

(That being said I left Fornite at the end of season 5. It grabbed me for 3 months, now not so much.)

Well to be fair, I did play it myself on PS4 for a week or 2 when it was only new out. I guess the best way to say it is that it's not really my cup of tea.

I have come across something that made me utterly disgusted and this goes to show about being careful about what you buy (for your kids, if you will have any) when you are browsing Steam (if you are signed into it already, that is).

To think that this game is for multiple platforms which are the PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and even Xbox One.

Race With Ryan

This game is based on this little kid named Ryan and his "parents" made a series of videos and a whole channel about him named "Ryan's World" or "Ryan's Toy Review". Every single video made by these people is all basically of him playing with toys. They even made thousands and thousands of views and likes " probably like in each month". The sad thing is that the poor little guy doesn't even know that he is even being milked and 'used' to make serious money. After a long time of special treatment, the kid's parents decided to make a video game.

I have never played this game and thank fuck I never did. Anyone who uses Steam. Please don't buy this game. Don't even buy as a joke or even to make a funny video about it. Of course, you guys are definitely not the appropriate audience. But in my opinion, this is a really cheap way to fool and scam kids into thinking this is a good game to play during their childhood. Too bad that small children are too blind to see a bad game when they see one but hopefully there are smart ones and I reckon there should be to avoid this problem.

Now the thing is. If you think this game is dead. You are wrong.

And for some reason and I find it really strange considering that this is a " family friendly, kids game", this is a texture that has been seen in the game's files. I am not shitting you.

Danganronpa and Undertale. The only thing good about those games are the music but since undertale uses a lot of music from homestuck, you aren't listening to anything new if you're a homestuck fan.
Both games messages are so forced that it fails to make you feel pity for any of the characters. Probably some of the most mediocre games I've played.

As a game for let's plays, I think Undertale was very entertaining and the characters were very likeable from the very start, the same can be said about Deltarune, however I wonder how different my experience would have been if I had actually played the games by myself.

The first game that came to my mind being overrated is mo********ing "toontown". There are several active servers, but it seems that each one has got drama at least once, but that's another discussion.
Granted the original game, "toontown online [tto]" was originarily designed for a younger audience, with a not very interesting combat mechanics and such, but when it comes to the playerbase, mostly composed by old tto players being in their adulthood/late teen years, it'sapparently kind of odd, mostly for childhood/sentimental reasons.
Don't get me wrong, I met several exquisite people being all adults and making some good quality content, some being even collectors themselves, however my complain is related to the playerbase mostly and their strict rules of playing the game, such as not using some gags during combat, not training gags during boss fights, no soundless players doing factories (yeah, discrimination), "elitists" and such, which kill the game's "teaming up with other players" statement. And the fact that even a tt player defended the presence of adults acting like this is also sad. A while ago a good popular player received death threats over some prestige gag choice in Corporate Clash, one of the popular toontown servers. So yeah, people taking the game too much seriously.
Reason why toontown is overrated? Because adult players take it too much seriously.

The servers can be fun if played during free time, always if this boring fight mechanic is your cup of tea.
Never played tto, but tried some actual servers to just see Cogs, the rest is forgettable to me.

And The Mingler is the best waifu robot, kill me if you dare! >;)

You're right. A lot of love went into it, but in the end the pacing just made it all wash over you in a forgettable way. Not sure what they could have done to make it stick more. Probably a bit more dialogue and some kind of narrative, but then I guess it would have been underwhelming anyway
