Re: Favourite soup
Since this is the soup topic, I was wondering if anyone around here has tried any asian soups like pho? I had a nice chicken one yesterday at the usual place me and my sister go to and the broth felt so clean and warming, like always, and ! I added sriracha to my soup just to give it kick. I think it's thanks to the restaurant that I've started to better appreciate pho, since back then I didn't really like Vietnamese pho.

From all this I’ve worked out your Asian Jonster? The Jonster wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:45 am Since this is the soup topic, I was wondering if anyone around here has tried any asian soups like pho? The only soups I’ve ever tried are pea soup and chicken soup, but I might try some Asian soup someday

Re: Favourite soup
Hahahah, I guess I thought the same way about hotpot as well. I used to dislike it because my sister would constantly bring me to the same one she likes whenever she wants it. Now yesterday, I'm the one who wanted hotpot and she was so proud of me. Maybe it's actually growing on me, and not just because it's cold outside. The Jonster wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:45 am Since this is the soup topic, I was wondering if anyone around here has tried any asian soups like pho? Edit: Speaking of which, here’s a pic of the hotpot we had yesterday.

Re: Favourite soup
We don't need to bring up the fact we're reviving these topics just post something about the topic (in this instance soup)
I prefer to have soup in the winter. Too bad my sister is obsessed with hotpot and drags me (im driving) to her favorite place once a month)

Re: Favourite soup
In my school they serve these soup in special occasions for £2. They did it for the Ukraine invasion and they’ve also done it for Porchlight and Lepra

Re: Favourite soup
Somehow missed this back then, but yesss ramen is like my favorite noodle soup, so tasty and delicious! Want to try a miso ramen sometime though, since I also love miso soup.Ambidextroid wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 6:42 pm I like pork ramen soup, very yummy. In fact, any meaty ramen soup.
And again, I'd like someone who has tried the fuck you soup to tell me how it tastes.
Re: Favourite soup
My favorite kind of soup would probably be Goulash or sour cherry soup. Everyone that's unfamiliar with our culture always gets surprised when I mention that to them (the latter), but yeah that exists, lol.

Re: Favourite soup
I think I prefer udon these days, more slurpability. Yummy slurpable udon worms. But I'll still go for the ramen if I'm eating out.The Jonster wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 9:54 pm

Re: Favourite soup
Yeah, noodle soups are definitely among my favorite soups. A few days ago I had a bowl of pho with chicken. Spiced it with sriracha and lime. YUMS!
Re: Favourite soup
It seems I voted mixed vegetable. I noticed people call stew soup in Sweden, but I like stew a lot too. There are a lot of different ways to make it and it's kind of similar to soup, but with more ingredients I guess. I remember making it a few times and just putting chicken sausages into it instead of mince.
