Yeah, it's been a while since I read up on this, but I wasn't under the impression that the story was newer than any playable demo. But I could be wrong… What's your source Greengoop?
That was when the game was first designed, but there’s no mention of the story anywhere until 1994

I think green's referring to that one Jaguar ad, which really doesn't prove anything.
Also, to stay on topic...
Unpopular opinion:
The Rayman Advance ost doesn't suck.
I just noticed this one, I’m actually getting it for my DS so I better get used to it

Reason:merged double posts, -10 tings for doing so
Indeed it was designed to be much easier than the PC version. I think out all the versions out there Rayman Advance is probably the easiest, and that's usually the one I recommend to people who are starting Rayman 1 for the first time before tackling the other versions.

Like the guy who definitely doesn’t get 200 tings removed every day
That can be arranged, would you like that?
Ok how about this then: The Throttle Copter is the best power-up of all the R3 power ups. (I’m not that great at coming up with unpopular opinions, clearly!)

It would be the best if they hadn't nerfed it by making it last only three seconds!
Yes, I know they had to do that to stop people flying OOB, but they could have adapted their levels to use it a bit better
Actually that reminds me of a fantasy I had one time of a big long tunnel with a Throttle Copter can on its side at one end and a huge lens to spread the laser light over a wide area, so Rayman could be continually under its influence and fly indefinitely! I guess it's a similar concept to the air currents in Rayman 2 and Origins/Legends…

But that would suck all the fun out of the Reflux TOTL Phase 3.

That could have been one cool mini-game. Kinda like Missile Command with the infinite shock rocket.
Here's another unpopular opinion, then: The PC is the best platform for any Rayman game that exists on that platform, and for some of those that don't.
