- Took an antigen test this morning, and tested positive for COVID. Having a really great week here!
- It sucked isolating for 2 days, now I have to do it longer. Normally this would be great except I’m really sick at this point.

Hope you get well soon! The Jonster wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 1:45 pm Thanks, I hope the same for you too. Although….

+ Also, regarding to this... I'm fine now after a couple of bad days, so nothing to worry about now!DaveRattlehead wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 7:58 pm The reason I went to the emergency room was even surprising to me... I went to the doctor because I had been feeling some discomfort in my testicle for a few days. I don't want to give details about the 5 hours I was there, as I could go on for too long, but basically they were a bit worried after inspecting them so they did an ultrasound scan in case I had some kind of tumor. In the end they didn't see anything related to any tumor, but it looks like I will have to go to the urologist for a future operation, as what I have may be a significant discomfort as the years go by.

Why do you think?

+ Indeed they won out again, cuz my sister bought pizza for me! So refreshing!DaveRattlehead wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 9:47 pm Proud to see the intrusive thoughts won once again
Even if you feel better, try to take Paracetamol every 8 hours, that was very useful for me to test negative quickly... Same for your father of course.

Speaking of them, I still remember how I couldn’t get an “official” positive test result.

Yeah the same thing happened with dad a few days ago, he had a positive and then for some reason he tested angain and got negative. Ofc since he now has the symptoms (in fact it seems he has more of the serious symptoms than I did) I guess he was positive and I really did have itFifo wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 9:32 amSpeaking of them, I still remember how I couldn’t get an “official” positive test result.![]()
no, by “official” I meant a commercial PCR (lab) or rapid test. The Jonster wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 9:36 amYeah the same thing happened with dad a few days ago, he had a positive and then for some reason he tested angain and got negative. Not really. Antigen tests can sometimes miss the virus if you have a low viral load! I got a consistent positive at home because I spent more time/effort swabbing DEEP inside both my nostrils (into the nasopharyngeal area). When I had my commercial test done, they just inserted the swab halfway into one of my nostrils, then took another swab and briefly rubbed my cheek area with it. That might’ve been why it didn’t find the virus.
Tons of times.
