What’s your theory about why teensy and rayspecies magician are the same then?

I don't really have much a theory about it, I personally see it more as redesign thing from them, especially since they tried to make Rayman more unique and being the "the only limbless being", though Stone Men are exist in Origins and they're limbless too
But it also somewhat defeated the purpose for it, when in Legends they added more Rayman skins and all of them are treated as separate characters (Especially Rayomz), which is really weird.

And I agree with you! I just really wish that they could carry his original lore and combine that with betrayal arc they were going for, with a bit different reasons and motivations for that of course, as his part of motivation for that is somewhat related to Mr. Dark and like trying to usurp his place (???), which is confusing, as Magician already had his own motivation for trying to take over the world in the scrapped script and leaked one as well

I feel like it's still related to Rayman 1, but they changed a lot of stuff from it so much, that it feels more like a reboot of the series rather than sequel, like Magician being suddenly Mr. Dark's fanboy thing or that they literally changed Bzzit's name into Moskito for no reason.

The reboot explanation is honestly a good one for all the inconsistencies, but I would have preferred them to tie in the other games somehow so it felt more familiar to people who played the previous games. I really do wonder why they went with this plot other than the one they scrapped.

I will ALWAYS call him Bzzit! It's such a cute name and they shouldn't have changed it.

Same here! I wish they could tie it with other games as well more properly, rather than adding the stuff from older games and change them drastically, like characterizations of some characters for example. As because of that, it feels more like a reboot than sequel at all.

I wonder as well! It feels like they scrapped the plot at the last minute, as there is stuff that it COULD be explained more, like Magician's betrayal and his reasons for that, if they didn't scrapped it out of sudden. But I also think that they should have polish that plot heavily, as it has so much confusing stuff, like him randomly called as "Mr. Dark" by Murfy for no reason or that thing about Bubble Dreamer being Big Mama boss.

And same here! I will always call him as Bzzit again! It's really weird that they kept his design (though with changes for the art style), but decided to change his name to Moskito.

About that thing with Origins Magician being magicless, I still think it's related to the change of his characterization (and redesign too) as a whole and to give more reasons to take over the Glade of Dreams in that scrapped plot, as in previous games he had magic powers and in general was more way kinder character, but in Origins he can only fit in his hat, but he's basically now magicless Teensy and more like evil.

I think it's more a thing for that cutscene to show that he's no longer in Rayman's side and basically betrayed them.

That's not proof at all. And where I was unsure about it? I was sure about it and I also expressed my opinion about it and my feelings towards that.
And it's also unrelated at all, as I was expressing my opinion about him being Mr. Dark fanboy. It was just my opinion on this topic for UNPOPULAR opinions on Rayman.
