what kind of game would you make? and what direction would you take the series in?
what kind of places, characters and ideas would you like to convey?
all of your ideas are valid, go nuts!

Now open world is genuinely interesting. Rayman has always felt like a small fish in a big pond, so being able to expand on that with vast environments would be ideal. I can imagine just wandering from the woods of light and finding the fairy council, and maybe the further in you go, the more whimsical things get, just like in your mind when you fall into REM sleep! You start to see scatterings of cream and candies among the grass and it opens to a fully 3D Candy Chateau. The entirety of the open world would need to wow the player with a consistent weirdness, though. That way they never feel like they quite step out of a dream.DaveRattlehead wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 4:56 pm I'll copy-paste what I wrote in another topic.
First of all, I would go back to 3D games. Yes, UbiArt's style is beautiful, I'm not denying that, but I think a return to 3D would increase the hype for many, many people.
I would like the game to be an open world in the Glade of the Dreams. I don't mean an open world like Rayman Revolution, which could be quite chaotic without a map, but a well designed open world, with the Glade of Dreams very alive and as colorful and magical as ever, with the possibility of interacting with the different characters that inhabit it, either to continue the story, to do secondary activities, and why not, some other mini-games. I think it would be interesting to see some RPG elements in this game, either modifying Rayman's clothes or improving different attributes of the character, such as sprint speed, swimming ability, helicopter duration... And even some more "curious" attributes, such as his weight. It would also be interesting to be able to alternate the ability to shoot with the ability to throw the fist, thus combining the classic Rayman attack with the attack we saw in Rayman 2. These attack modes could be incorporated somehow in the attributes to improve the character.
I also think it would be a perfect opportunity to give some coherence to Rayman's lore. After all, that's a job that Ubisoft itself should have done back in the past, right?

Guess they were too ambitious with it and I guess rewriting the whole source code wasn’t the best idea either it seems.DaveRattlehead wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 5:30 pm They tried on Rayman Revolution, but they created something a bit weird... It wasn't a bad idea, but it was terribly executed.

WHERE CAN I GET THIS BOSSIthasmore wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2023 3:15 am Rayman Brain Games 2, a 3d game featuring open world elements and returning areas from previous games, a sophisticated story, polished gameplay, and obscure trivia that nobody knows.

Ah, I forgot this existed! I stated this back then, but I am genuinely curious to try this game once it releases. Even though I was already a teen when I tried Brain Games/Junior for the first time, I had a good time playing.Master wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:44 am Wasn't there a 3D Brain Games fangame being made by some folks from the leaked Rayman 2 engine?

We probably won't finish it unfortunately, we're all busy with other projects. But it was insanely fun to work on this for April Fools, and I might try and finish my Picture City level eventuallyThe Jonster wrote: Sat Dec 02, 2023 1:26 am Ah, I forgot this existed!
