I think it's more than just Rayman, I think there may be other characters appearing from Ubisoft, like Jade and Pey'j.

Yeah! Rayman in an anime and DLC within a month isn’t usual knowing Ubisoft, it must mean something

A bit strange that Ubi wanted to keep a smooth image of the Rabbids by canceling R4 and Killer Freaks then decided to turn them into monsters in Captain Laserhawk

As bizarre as this show is, at least Rayman is instantly recognisable in it. Assassin's Creed fans got a frog.

I highly agree with Plum, I don't think we'll get a new Rayman game in the near future. It's just some kind of homage to their different franchises and they'll continue with the idea if the people like the anime, that's all. Ubisoft was clear about it, Rayman isn't a priority right now.
