To give my unwarranted two cents, I'm compelled to mention that again, this obsession with post counts and tings as opposed to quality of posts is gonna grate on people. Forums lend themselves more for reasoned conversations than on the fly back and forths that are more in line with group chats.

Making posts that appear to lack substance may inflate your post count and may not be against the letter of the rules, but it goes against the spirit and will start to annoy folks if there doesn't appear to be any point to the posts made - especially if it feels you're not actually legitimately engaging in the conversation in progress. Even in off-topic game threads there's a spirit and manner in which they're played.

That being said, with respect to all, maybe this is something this should be taken to PMs at this point. Think this thread's been derailed enough as is.
