Re: Your last dream
I've heard of people that as soon they wake up they note their dreams so they can remember it, if you don't like forgetting your dreams you could try doing this!

Re: Your last dream
I was actually planning on starting that a while back!
I probably would do it if I could be bothered to wake up and instantly start writing in a journal

Re: Your last dream
Last night I dreamed that the ghost of a young girl decided to make herself known in my house. When I woke up I realized she was basically Moaning Myrtle, only more pleasant

Re: Your last dream
For once I had a nightmare.
If you've seen those memes floating around of skinwalkers disguising themselves as people's dogs and "replacing" them...
My apartment and everything was like a carbon copy, everything looked and felt so realistic. A nasty storm had just cleared up outside our front window. I realized suddenly that there was two copies of my dog running around my house... For some reason everything just clicked and I remembered those memes and I just knew. I remember feeling my heart sink, and we talked about how we were going to have to get rid of it. The "copy". Then we determined that we would try to make sure we knew which one was which. I picked up one of them, and instantly I could tell which one was my dog, 'cause she went running in fear under my bed. Then the thing in my arms started growling and snarling... For some reason, I tried picking up my dog after somehow getting her out, and the thing in my arms just started flipping out. Writhing around, trying to escape, and it started to make this horrible noise. It started howling and wailing... Normally animal noises don't scare me, but what scared me most was that it sounded almost human... It freaked me out.
Then I just kinda jerked awake. I hadn't jolted up in a sweat like that in a very long time. Never again. That one's gonna stick with me for a while...

Re: Your last dream
I was playing splatoon 3 beta or something... and me and my friend was playing a 1v1 I think. She had this goo technique where it would cover the entire squid. Well it seemed to bug out because I shot her well enough before she swam, as she curves on swim mode, and when she came out of swim mode. When she did, the goo was still there. I kept shooting, it did not go away. Like a semi kraken. We tell mycraft about this, and he tells us that not to worry, only those compatible will be using that new technique as a test. We then realized we could clip it. I realize it wasn't our own match for some reason... we joined on someone? anyway I just search in the options for old Vods, and I find the section to clip. As I am clipping, Mycraft begins to explain why the bug was manifesting. Before he started talking, I was telling him not to tell Me the results until I show him the video. He keeps talking anyway, and I tell him to shut up multiple times so he can notice that I'm trying to avoid spoilers. He begins to explain it doesn't matter. Also, there is a coup being planned but I'm not involved. Just walking through. My friend Gary was there as well for some reason. (He plays smash bros) I wake up. (I got splatted of course, I dodged their shots quite a bit though) (edited) Then I went back to sleep.
---
then, I'm in detention? I get called away to a professor and two other students? It's raining really hard, I put a newspaper above my head, I accidentally spill rain from my head to others. Then professor starts a fortnite or splatoon match but I was just going to say that I am going to the bathroom super quick. He stops the match. I wake up. I then go to the bathroom for real.

Re: Your last dream
In my last dream, my ex's friend talked to me on Instagram and wanted me to meet up with her because she wanted to tell me something very important. I went to her house and my ex, crying savagely, and other of her friends were there, consolating her and waiting for me. She basically wanted to keep some kind of contact with me, and her friends were trying to force me to be her friend. The dream (nightmare?
) luckily ended there... xDDD

Re: Your last dream
I had one of those dreams where the time on the clock kept changing… Not a big deal. But then I went and checked my parents' clock and it kept changing. So we turned on the radio, and even the program that was on didn't give any indication of the correct time. So it seemed that there was some kind of EMP that messed up all the clocks in the world but left everything else more or less working
Then in real life the next morning they actually were talking about time zones on the radio

Re: Your last dream
I wonder how likely it could be that it loosely relates to the Y2038 thing we were talking about.
It's weird when something irl happens like that which relates to your dream also.

Re: Your last dream
The real reason was that I wanted to wake up a bit early and ring the garage to confirm my car service appointment. My dreams took the "wake up early" thing and muddled the hell out of it
Not a dream as such, but recently I was lying in bed and had a vision where I was stuck in traffic, looked in my wing mirror and saw Mimicat's face looking back instead of my own

Re: Your last dream
Ah like that, I see. Usually when I have weird random dreams, this ends up being the cause for it too. I often had the ones where a sound in real life would interfere with my dream, shortly before I wake up.PluMGMK wrote: Sun Jan 07, 2024 12:49 am The real reason was that I wanted to wake up a bit early and ring the garage to confirm my car service appointment. Speaking of which, I actually had a dream last night that was a little bit random. I had a dream that someone I'm familiar with had claimed that they scored over 882,000 (not sure why this figure specifically

Re: Your last dream
Pretty much every night I have some horrifying nightmare, which I can only rationalise as a symptom of PTSD related to some things I've experienced, because while I don't remember most of them, I almost always wake up crying or in an inexplicably screwed up mood where I want to stare at the ceiling for the next hour or two before I can function, even when I don't presently struggle with any kind of depression and the day ahead of me should be exciting. Roughly once a week I'll remember them in visceral detail though, and they usually involve someone I love dying in front of me, or me being stalked, terrorised, cornered, or forced into something unspeakable, often in some surreal version of places I've been before. No matter what the dream is, I feel like I'm bound or inhumanly slow and helpless no matter how hard I try, like I'm running underwater or have impossibly bad coordination.
A couple days ago I had one that's still nagging at me now. I don't know if I'd want to share them here because they're genuinely awful and distressing, but I hope I can figure out how to overcome this some day. Marijuana usually helps me not dream or not remember them at least, but I really don't like relying on it anymore because it makes me feel so sluggish and unmotivated in the morning.

Re: Your last dream
I always have one or two lucid dreams before I deep sleep. My last one was for a movie I plan on revealing at Rayman: Alive this year. My OCs (Wenai and Woda) were fighting their enemies (Ewnai and Owda) who are Wenai and Woda but with an evil self and looking more like Mephiles from Sonic '06. When Owda gets a hold of the Corruption Stone, he wishes for the multiverse (mostly) to collide into a new world. Ewnai snatches it, but it was too late. The first person Wenai and Woda see, a Toad. Anyway, the movie is gonna be similar to Across the Spider-Verse, Sonic Prime, and in general, a crossover movie. (Rayman is coming to town, bois)
Hope one of you guys liked my idea dream.

Re: Your last dream
I don't get nightmares very often, but I had one about a week ago. It was one of the strangest experiences I've ever had as it was more exhausting than it was scary.
The dream was mostly nonsense as they tend to be, but it ended with me suddenly having the horrible realisation that there was a stranger crawling around in the loft of my house. I was just sitting when I suddenly saw various random objects flashing before me, and the dream version of myself seemed to believe that they were all connected. This culminated in the conclusion that there was an intruder upstairs. Think of how detective shows have the main character realise who the killer is after all the evidence flashes before them in their mind, lots of bright lights and booming sound effects accompanying it, and that's the sort of thing I was experiencing.
I woke up right after in a cold sweat, but it didn't end there. Unlike most dreams where I wake up and come to my senses after a few seconds, I was delirious after this particular nightmare. I knew I was awake, but I couldn't stop my brain from continuing to try and connect seemingly random images in my mind, just like I was doing in the dream. I was thinking about how 'the spoon connected to the church alter, which in turn connected to the Rubik's Cube and the box of baby teeth etc', and I just couldn't get my mind to calm down. I lay there for a good fifteen minutes, even putting my bedside lamp on to see if that would make me come to my senses. I don't really remember how it stopped as I later woke up after falling back asleep feeling completely normal.
It wasn't particuarly scary, but it was certainly bizarre.
