Nice progress! Just one thing, maybe Rayman's hands are too far apart at times when grabbing long objects?
Did you mean at 1:10? If so, that was just supposed to demonstrate how you can customise the placement of his hands per-object. The lack of any annotations or voiceover doesn't make that very obvious clearly

Thanks for sharing the video! It made me notice that for some reason I wasn't subscribed to her YouTube channel
I really love that helicopter animation, it looks so realistic and fluid, I can't stop looking at it
Great job Ads, I love all the details of this your fangame!
Thanks! I know it seems like progress constantly stagnates, but I've been on a streak lately working on it almost every night, and I'll try and keep it up as much as I can. I'm glad all the practice I've had is paying off in people's eyes quality-wise!

Yes this is it! And indeed, it's not the case all the time, so I understand the idea now.

This is when the wait is worth it!
And I completely understand, also because you're working on so many things at the same time!
I wish you the best with ROTD and don't forget about our lil Polokurse Rayman! I am afraid he'll become jealous of ROTD if you leave him alone for too long

NOOO, I didn't mean to make scrimbly Ray feel lonely... I promise I'll give him a big coding hug shortly!
Beautiful!!! Every single one of these test videos is absolutely beautiful!
Mechanics-wise I like the swing mechanic and that you added the 2 swim speeds. Not sure what you'll do with the boxing if you already have shooting (I think you did?).
I love the sound design in "Escape da volcano". "Nightblitz" looks amazing, but maybe the path should be a bit brighter so you can see what you're doing.
Wow these look great!! The Nightblitz video feels dreamy to me, gives me Allegro Presto vibes with the sliding along with the music. The 2 swim speeds and the swing mechanic also look really good too!
Amazing stuff! Maybe the boxing could be used in a section where you can't use the Magic Fist for some reason? (like in R3 where Rayman used kicks until he got his hands back), or it could be used for a minigame.
Also, I'm saving the first image and using it as a wallpaper .

I'm just gonna plop some stuff here I've shared here and there around Discord since April, including massive updates to this
I love how much attention you pay to the details, it feels way better than what Ubisoft would do, it's impressive!!
Also, I love that first screenshot and I hope to see you in Rayman Alive!

Ah, it just wouldn't be a Rayman game without a sequence where you're running away from some sort of deadly fluid.
This game looks beautiful, by the way. Definitely seems to nail the dreamy vibe that I think Rayman games should have.

There's a discord server? Can I get an invite? I would love to have more means to keep track of RotD's development!
Ahh, unfortunately not, I meant mostly in The Rayman Family server. I've thought about making one for the game, but I feel weird running a whole server just for my own project (even though I know lots of people do that), and I can't guarantee I'd keep it up if I tried.

Thanks! There is shooting, but it works off of a regenerating energy pool, so you have to use it selectively and can't spam it, it's more of a sniping or tactical setup option. And I was planning on having upgrades that decrease resource usage and increase recharge speed.
As for the lighting in Nightblitz, I really like dark lighting to feel dark and tend to think over-bright night lighting looks so cheap, but I also realised if you're not looking at it on a nice calibrated monitor, you're barely going to be able to see much lol

Thanks for noticing!! Funnily, Ubisoft (mainly Assassin's Creed) is my biggest inspiration when it comes to details. I want everything to feel visceral and connected.
Speaking of which, I was just working on a water level for the last few days, in addition to a new mechanic:
Wow.
I'm blown away each and every time you show more, this is AAA quality right there, everything flows so well, to think this is a free passion project is crazy. Do you have any background as a professional gamedev?
Oh, and is that Dark Rayman? Is he gonna be playable or is it just a skin?
The game looks so good that it makes me want to form a team and create a fan-made 3D remake of Rayman 1 in a 2.5D-style platformer. I would like to take inspiration from the good fan-made Rayman 1 remake that is well-loved by fans.
