DaveRattlehead wrote: Fri Dec 08, 2023 3:50 pm Same here. I grew up with lots of animes broadcasted on TV and I usually enjoyed them more. Also, if I had to do a top including the best animation content I've seen, probably most of my personal top would have animes instead of Western animation

And that's an extremely easy question for me... I can't be objective regarding that, but Dragon Ball has probably been my favourite anime series of all time and the one I enjoyed the most when I was younger. Now that you mentioned Dragon Ball, I've recently watched the Budokai Tenkaichi 4 trailer! I loved those games so much in my younger days and I can't wait to play BT4 after almost two decades. But first, I need a PS5

Dragon Ball GT or Dragon Ball Super?
I didn't watch as much Dragon Ball as I had Z and the other ones. Though really? They're doing BT4? This is news to me, I loved BT3 on the PS2. Man it's been so long!

I'll admit, I was one of those people who did like Dragon Ball GT and watched it too, but I probably will still lean towards Dragon Ball Super overall. It definitely got interesting with the direction things had gone in the series there. Plus Super Saiyan Blue is awesome and fun to say.

I would have said cartoons anyway because I have watched more of them, while only seeing few anime shows. I really liked the Pokémon anime though.

Pokémon or Digimon?
This one is an easy one for me, despite having watched and liked both. I did start out with Pokemon first as a kid, but my cousin got me into Digimon when I was a kid too. I don't know why, but I've just found myself more fond of Digimon. My cousin always compared me to Izzy though.

I'll choose the earlier seasons because those are the only ones I watched. I did forgot just about everything about the show though.

This one can go either way for me, depending on the purpose. For that reason, I'm just going to give my thoughts on both. Discord I would of course prefer as a means for a back and forth chat, where you just need a quick reply. Forums however, are great for documenting information and storing it in a very organised fashion. When a conversation is pretty insightful, that's when I think it's good to have on a forum, as people can gain insight / learn by reading it. For example, a game doesn't work, and someone finds a solution; if it was on a forum, you can find it on a search engine and get the answer you need, but you can't if the answer is on Discord.

It's a bit back and forth, but I think I will say forums. I'm older and I grew up with forums always being a big thing, and a great place to get the help you need. We all know Discord will be gone some day just like Skype, but forums are something that can live on, and possibly even be what's "in" again in the future. A lot of things that were cool in the 80s and 90s tend to go back in fashion again these days. Trends always go in and out.

So then, headphones or speakers?

Yeah, both have their own good use cases, like Discord is good for voice chat and streaming with friends, and quick chats like you said.

Forums are great for many other reasons, especially for better upkeep and various threads for various important topics.

For the question, speakers hands down. I love to feel the beat of the music, headphones just aren't the example experience as my actual stereo and home theater setups.

Ah now this one is interesting. I believe that QD-OLED is where we're headed at this point, especially given the ridiculously high resolutions nowadays. They even have foldable screens at this point due to how thin they can actually make them. CRTs though, have their charm. I still don't think you can beat a CRT when it comes to retro gaming. The next best thing is an OLED with a good setup, assuming you want a similar experience with modern technology.

This one is tough and I know that CRTs have their charm and will always be better for retro hardware, but I will go with QD-OLED for reasons that in today's lifestyle they have many more use cases and even theoretically should use a lot less power compared to a CRT.

There were some years when I had to buy some digital games because the disk drive on my PS3 wasn't working properly. However, I prefer physical games if possible. First of all, because I don't like the idea of losing those games in case they decide to close the digital store. And secondly (and, for me, the most important), because I love owning and collecting them. Not that I have a huge collection, but I like the idea of having the box. I consider it like music albums - can I listen to them on Spotify? Yes, of course, but it's cooler to have that album in your house

This is a really good question, and I used to would go for Intel for the sole reason I wanted to toy around with overclocking and it was much easier for me to overclock my Intel Core 2 Duo than it was my AMD Phenom CPU at the time.

Our first computer that came with Windows 3.1 had an Intel Pentium in it that ran at 75MHz, if my memory serves correctly. Our first custom built computer had like a 900MHz AMD Slot A style of Athlon in it. Though by the time I built my first computer back in I believe is 2006, it was an AMD Athlon 64. Then later was the Phenom before I switched to Intel with my C2D. I later got the i7 2600k, and I stuck with Intel up until AMD came out with their Ryzen series, well, I waited a bit until the 3000 Ryzen series. I'm now using the Ryzen 5900X.

All in all, I want to say AMD because Intel has had some very shady practices over the years, and they were not innovating or moving things further until AMD began putting them to shame. We need good competition in the CPU world and AMD helped re-enforce that with providing solid products.

And with as much of a mess Intel is in again now? I mean it's a no brainer I choose AMD.

Just look at this covering Intel's nonsense:

Indycar feels more iconic to me, especially when you factor in the Indy 500 being pretty well known around here. Plus that makes me think of that movie Turbo with the snail.

I love both, but I'll go with Spongebob. Nothing makes me more happy than him saying "I'm ready!" One of my favorite episodes is coincidentally named "Texas.", and it's centered around Sandy Cheeks, one of my all time-favorite Spongebob characters.

I’ve watched both, but Pokémon is more memorable to me. So many good quirks, with Brock’s flirts with ladies, to Team Rocket’s numerous failed attempts to catch Pikachu! Did I mention I dig their motto?

That is an excellent question, typically it would depend on the sandwich. Technically I would prefer my grilled cheese sandwiches, grilled. Though since this is generally about sandwiches in general, I'm going with as is. Even my sub sandwiches are generally as is, untoasted.

So that's definitely my pick in the end, generally either a good turkey sandwich, beef bologna, or even ham sandwich works nicely for me. Sometimes even a good bacon sandwich.

Would you like all the works on your sandwiches (Like tomatoes, lettuce, etc), or keep things more plain (like maybe slice of cheese, mayo/mustard, etc.)?

I like putting many things on my sandwich because of one recipe I like. Its just spinach, some diced bell pepper, and a slice of smoked salmon. Toast it for a bit and you have a very nice sandwich. Not saying simple sandwiches are bad though.

Do you prefer making a nice meal or just having something quick and convenient for when you're hungry?

It depends on the situation, but if I'm at home with plenty of free time I prefer making a nice meal (even if it doesn't take too much time to cook it, that doesn't mean it isn't nice). Maybe I'm getting it wrong, but when you mention "something quick and convenient" I can only think about McDonald's, Burger King, KFC... Yeah, they're fine sometimes, but if I eat these kind of things for 3 consecutive days I just don't feel okay.

That's a very interesting question as I have mixed feelings in regards of that. I'm going to say that I prefer triple A games as most the games I've been playing for the last years were triple A. Also, I can justify this election as my favourite game of all time is triple A (Red Dead Redemption 1)
However, most of the triple A games I see nowadays are just a copy-paste from other formulas, and that's something that I don't really like at all and makes me lose interest quicky. I think they should come up with much better ideas with that budget.

Keep playing Rayman games but not being able to buy new games anymore, or forgetting everything related to Rayman and be able to buy new games?

If I could only play Rayman games, I would choose option 2. But you just said I couldn't buy new games. This would mean I could still play the games I already own, and I could just get people to gift me new games. Plus, if I forgot everything about Rayman, I would forget about these forums.

Add 10x to one specific thing or 1.25x for everything. For example, you could multiply the amount of money you had by 10, or multiply your IQ by 10.

Honestly that's a tough question right there, because on the one hand, money is always good. Though if you had a higher IQ, you could make more money and benefit from there, in theory. So with this one I probably will go for the IQ one. Maybe I can finally get projects done more effectively.

I don't think having a higher IQ would imply making more money... But that's another interesting and long debate :P

Right now I would prefer keeping my money in a savings account. Yeah, sure, you can make easy money with low risk in a CD account, but you would really need to invest a lot to see some benefits in the near future. Right now I am not in the right situation to invest that money

$10M dollars right now, but you have to lose all of your friends (you can make new ones, of course), or keeping your friends and not getting the money?
