Last time we ever got snow on Christmas Day here was 2013. I’d LOVE to wake up and be told “it’s snowing” tomorrow here tho

I think I only remember that happening once in Ireland. This is my first time in Sweden for Christmas and it was such a white Christmas that we were just all out shovelling the garden to clear the paths and driveway.

Oh, the snow is back! Very nice! :noel:

I believe I'm doing much better this Christmas Eve as well. Our incredibly kind neighbors who moved in a year ago just dropped off a whole Christmas dinner right on our porch! They've been so nice to us, I don't know how we'll ever repay them!

I also finally remembered to put on my Christmas hat this year, I knew I felt like something was missing this whole time! :mefiant:

I'm looking forward to Christmas Day myself. My gifts won't arrive on the day of, but there's always some kind feeling of surprise with everyone else's gifts. I'm excited to see what everyone gets this year!...And the Christmas cookies, of course! :cookie:

I just got back from delivering my Christmas gift to the kindly old couple that lives at the edge of the block. I got them this nice easter wreath, which is out of season, but they loved it anyway. They invited me in for a bit, gave me a slice of pizza and sent me off with a small container of dark chocolate covered cherries.

...I had to march back up there when I realized I'd been in such a hurry I'd forgotten to thank them for their gift! But now that's over and done with and I can rest easy tonight. If I hadn't thanked them now, it would've haunted me all night!

Earlier today an old church friend stopped by to give us a homemade sweet potato pie with whipped cream on top! :hap:

It's been a pretty good Christmas Eve.

Yay, it's Christmas day now (well, except for our Orthodox friends who will have to wait a little)! ☃️

Last night's dinner was delicious and I was very happy with the wine I brought over, though it was hard to beat my mom's Château Margaux 1983. I went to bed at 3 AM, so I wish I'd gotten more sleep, but I'm excited about the rest of the celebrations nonetheless. Merry Christmas all! 🎅🏻

Merry Christmas to everyone! After a hearty Christmas dinner, I'm feeling almost as stuffed as the turkey I ate  I hope everyone else has eaten well, and just overall has a great day! :noel:

Merry Christmas all! I'm ready to stuff myself with some yummy yummy waffles since we're doing a breakfast instead of a dinner. I don't even care if they make my blood sugar skyrocket to Neptune. :D

Merry Christmas everybody! :mryellow: :noel:

To my surprise this year I've had both sides of our families cook up some bacon-wrapped lil hot dog smokies for appetizers, and gosh they're sooooo good. :mryellow:

Merry Christmas to y'all!

We had a good Christmas Eve dinner yesterday. Everything was delicious, but I think I ate too much,. I bought a Jack Daniel's Bonded bottle for my father and some earrings for my mother and my sister.
I got another comic for my personal collection, which is great, and the Music to be murdered by album by Eminem.

I also ate too much today, what a coincidence! :P

Glad you had a good time. I had a lot of fun today. I was really into Eminem's earlier stuff by the way, I used to listen to it all the time. I've not been too up to date on the modern stuff.

As for what I got; a watch, a bag (backpack), t-shirts, socks, and chocolate. The majority of these things will be useful to have in the long run, but its not about the presents, it's about the people you get to spend the holidays with and having a good time! :noel:

I think eating too much is a common factor in every country, no matter when we celebrate Christmas . Actually, it's very common to see on the TV tips to avoid indigestion a few days before Christmas Eve.

Not gonna lie, I prefer Eminem's old stuff, but this album and Kamikaze, which are the newest, aren't bad at all.

Maybe you can share the chocolate you got in the Chocolate topic? :)

I guess that's very true, we do the same in Ireland ofc. :P

Yeah I used to love the old stuff like the Marshall Mathers LP and the Eminem Show. I'll keep that in mind though.

Unfortunately I left the chocolate downstairs and it ended up being opened and mixed in with all the other sweets, so I can't take a picture of it. I don't mind though, as I honestly would have shared it with everyone either way, I'm not greedy.

I did however get another present today when visiting some of my girlfriend's relatives, and they gave me Ferrero Rocher.

I bought all of Eminem's CD except the very first one and the very last one, and listened to most of them extensively.

I really liked (and still appreciate) his lyrical skills and music quality (whether produced by him or by his collaborators, like Dr Dre).

I was less thrilled when he started pushing his political opinions into his music. However, I understand there is no way to 100% separate the two, when one writes songs inspired by real-world situations and real-life struggles.
