Re: TTQ
Welcome to Season 138 of The Teensies Quiz Quest!
This is a Christmas and Winter Holidays season, but don't worry - the questions will still be the same Rayman universe questions, although more focused on the earlier games this time, as I mentioned earlier.
I recommend to check the first post of this thread for the rules, as they have recently been slightly updated.
Question 1: There are many plums in The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire of Rayman 2, and they generally behave as expected when it comes to the normal bouncing, rebounding, floating down rivers and gaining reverse momentum from Rayman's shots. There are, however, three plums that defy these established mechanics, and act in somewhat different ways. Which plums are these, and what is special in their behaviors?

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
I'll go with these 3:
1. One plum used to get to the cage under the grate in the first phase that only holds its position on an object for a few seconds before releasing.
2. A plum in the lava river section, where Rayman has to jump off and use his helicopter, the plum will continue without disappearing and hold its position below a green lum until Rayman lands on it.
3. The plum that appears at the beginning of the silver sphere path which stays next to Rayman's starting position in the lava until Rayman boards it.

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
That's correct! There is another one, towards the end of the yellow sphere path, where you just need to hit the plum at the opposite edge of a narrow lava pool with a single shot, and it will bounce off the wall all the way back to you on its own.The Jonster wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 11:24 pm I'll go with these 3:

And as long as we are talking about spheres...
Question 2: In the entirety of Rayman 2 - are there more yellow or more blue spheres, or is their number equal? Explain.

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
There are more yellow spheres than blue spheres. In the Cave of Bad Dreams there are two yellow spheres, while only one blue sphere can be found here.
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
And that is also correct! So now you are 2 up and should skip the next one.

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
The cave of Skops audio plays in TDF (rayman forever, NA version) and the music plays in a loop in every stage of each world
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
The music playing in a loop is a characteristic of every PC release, so I don't consider this an issue.

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
Rayman Gold (Focus Multimedia UK) has no music at all, and all (?) releases of Rayman Forever have severely cut-down music in most worlds, including (like Greengoop said) a section of the Caves of Skops music playing in non-boss Jungle levels
Also I have a European Rayman Gold release that has somewhat cut-down music as well, but not as bad as Forever, and at least it doesn't transplant music across worlds…

I do think at least some releases of 'Forever' (the French, maybe?) did not have the butchered soundtrack. Mentioned one such copy here.
Would be interesting to hear about your "somewhat cut-down" Rayman Gold copy. Perhaps you can share more info in the dedicated topic.
Question 4: In the dance minigame challenges of Rayman Raving Rabbids, the bunnies come in three different colors. What are the colors and what is the significance of each?

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
The rabbits were used to mark the tempo of the song: if the song was slow, the rabbits appeared progressively. If the song was faster, it was much more chaotic.
Each song was divided into 9 parts. In each part, white rabbits could appear individually (to the left or to the right), blue rabbits (two at a time) or yellow rabbits (they could be one individually or two at a time). The yellow rabbits indicated the end of that part, and led to the next one.

A perfect answer, more detailed than was required.
Also after each part, another rabbit would appear behind Rayman on the dance floor.

Question 5: Some Rayman 3 Demo releases featured a level called 'Special Invaders'. Where would that level take place in the final game?

I'll take this answer. Can you guess which part? I forgot to specify this as part of the question but it shouldn't be hard to deduce. )))

Could it be the one in the Canopy, that you can only reach with Globox's help the first time?
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
Indeed it can! Another one is the very first one in the game - the wooden door in part 1 of the Fairy Glade.Hunchman801 wrote: Thu Dec 28, 2023 6:00 pm Could it be the one in the Canopy, that you can only reach with Globox's help the first time?
