To change the audio track in VLC you have to go to the Sound menu (third one from the left), and choose Track 4 from the first submenu (there should be five tracks).

So I opened a bik file with VLC media player and went to audio and found the track in Italian, I should save it though. When I select the track and close the video, it doesn't save it. I tried to reopen it but it returns to English. Do you know how to save it so that when I play in story mode the video audio can be heard in Italian?

If you replaced the original PC .bik files with unknown versions from a different source - it is possible those ones do not have the extra audio tracks...

doctor_st the replaced bik files have the additional tracks, including Italian. The only problem is saving. Opening the video with VLC media player doesn't let me save the track in Italian. I do not know how to do it

So I have bought Rayman 3 Hoodlum Hovac on the ubisoft connect app on pc I can't get the better rayman 3 mod to work i cant even use controller every little change i add makes the game crash everytime it gets to the ubsoft logo screen. Is there anyway to fix this?

Well, it sounds like the files do indeed have the correct tracks but for some reason the game is picking the wrong one. That or the file mariupol97 is opening in VLC is not the same one the game is using (placed in the wrong folder perhaps?)

From the first post, it looks like the mod only supports the GOG version or the retail version with the noCD patch. So unfortunately not the Connect version

Does anyone know how to make the right analog stick work? With Better I set 2 on the horizontal axis and 5 on the vertical axis but it doesn't work. I also tried with 3 on the horizontal axis and 4 on the vertical axis but nothing. Are there other solutions?

You can try out using the old DRM-free 2018 binary from Uplay:

Uplay version worked fine with Better Rayman in 2018.

Also, maybe you could try to turn on d3d8to9 in configuration file.

If you want VLC to open video's for you automatically in your language, possibly you can delete all other audio tracks in the RAD Tool.

Also, if somehow the game reads wrong audio track, and English is being used instead, and Italian from Videos folder is present in some other Audio track instead, you can possibly change the order of audio tracks with that tool too.

It's possible that videos downloaded from PCGW have different audio track order than your videos which the game cannot play video, but only audio. The game might play English if track order is different than before (assuming it has other languages). Try to verify that.

Hi deton24 I downloaded Rad Tools Video and I managed to convert the bik file in English into the wav file in Italian. I should convert the wav file in Italian into the bik file with the default language in Italian, what should I do?

deton24 regarding the animated videos, in the videos folder the files had voices in English when I opened them with VLC Media Player, but in the game I then realized that they spoke in Italian. On the other hand, I thought that they spoke in English in the game, but I was wrong and I think I solved this problem when I configured the game with Better. Apparently, despite having set the language to Italian with Better, the files in the videos folder open in English but in the game they then speak in Italian, so I think it all depends on Better or it could be that everything depends on the ubi.ini file when I set it in the language section Italian. So for those who have encountered this problem you can try these two attempts, Better or the ubi.ini file. As regards the problem of the right analog stick, I solved it by setting the value 2 on the horizontal axis and the value 5 on the vertical axis to Better. Initially with these values ​​I don't know why it doesn't work but then it started, perhaps because I forgot to save on Better

deton24 yes I replaced the videos with those from https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Rayma ... dlum_Havoc because they couldn't be seen in 16:9 resolution. As for the audio, I made sure that Better and the ubi.ini file were set to Italian. In the end I didn't need Rad Tools Video. I also had problems with the game menu when I set the resolution to 16:9. The text was all offset. I solved it by downloading a hex editor where I opened Rayman3.exe by changing the value from 40 (default) to 11 in the offset row 1A9EA and column E

I know that BR3 has some incompatibilities with regional versions.
You might follow that tutorial, maybe it will help, but it is not granted (originally it was to fix assertion error at startup).

The problem can be partially dependant on some exe changes in regional versions, as BR3 might have problems with it too - it will be replaced by GOG binary in the tutorial above.
BR3 might be not compatible with retail versions (maybe not even English, here I can't tell) but at least GOG should work. In the past it worked with Uplay version, but now I can't tell, since they introduced DRM to the exe. It might be the culprit of other incompatibilities (I uploaded the old Uplay binary somewhere above IRC).
But the tutorial above somehow manages to make BR3 work with at least Polish version.
Also, check if your language is set properly in ubi.ini:

Alternatively, you can use R3 widescreen patch from WSGF with dgVoodoo instead of using BR3, but you will miss some fixes made by BR3.

better rayman 3 seems to work just fine with gog version.
only issue is that it crashes if you alt- tab out of the game,
which will minimize the game, then crashes when you tab-back into the game.

yep it did fix it. instructions for GOG version dont match, because there is no ubi.ini and you dont have to make any TnL=0 edit anywhere for it to work.
