I’ve got an idea. Is it because the objects are pitch black in rayman legends, whilst merely dark-shaded in origins?
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
Wow you are both remarkably right and remarkably wrong at the same time. I'll give you a chance to correct yourself.Greengoop wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2024 8:40 am I’ve got an idea. Is it because the objects are pitch black in rayman legends, whilst merely dark-shaded in origins?

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
Is it the opposite of Greengoops answer, where the objects are pitch black in Origins and dark shaded in Legends?
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
That's correct. Greengoop almost got it this time, but first come - first serve.Ithasmore wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2024 6:09 pmIs it the opposite of Greengoops answer, where the objects are pitch black in Origins and dark shaded in Legends?

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
I only remember the second section in The Fairy Glade, right before rescuing Ly, and the first section in The Menhir Hills, inside the Military Academy (or whatever the name in English is
).
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
You get the point, although it is the third section of the Fairy Glade - but indeed it is the one right before the one with Ly.DaveRattlehead wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2024 11:36 pm I only remember the second section in The Fairy Glade, right before rescuing Ly, and the first section in The Menhir Hills, inside the Military Academy (or whatever the name in English is).

Question 31: In Rayman 2 there are many doors covered with sparadraps (plasters) which you break to get to various places / items. There is also one location where a sparadrap partially covers a door off to the side, and that door cannot be broken open and leads nowhere. Where is it?

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
In the second level?
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
Uhm, I don't know of any in the second level. If you know of something specific, please describe the location more precisely.
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
OK, it's been over 72 hours, so I will just disclose that the door I was referring to is located in the Reformatory for Disturbing Children in the Iron Mountains.dr_st wrote: Mon Jan 22, 2024 3:40 pm Question 31: In Rayman 2 there are many doors covered with sparadraps (plasters) which you break to get to various places / items. Amazing how much detail can be easily missed if one doesn't look carefully. Actually didn't know the answer to that question.
So for your new question, Child's Play is based off the child world in the GBA version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, while Dark Legacy references the bonus world in the GBC version of Rayman 1 (bonus points for them having levels with matching names!). Gonna skip the Final Showdown since I can't remember this one.

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
I haven't played Final Showdown but could it be the level that was inspired by the SNES prototype of the original game?
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
You are both correct!
I never played the GBC version of Rayman, and so I only discovered this relation when starting work on the Fanwiki page.

Anyhow, The Jonster gets the point, and is 1 point away from victory!
Also, there have been no attempts at the bonus questions!
To encourage participation - I would like to announce that the bonus questions this round will be worth twice their usual amount in tings.

Question 34: Name two Rayman games that have cages in some levels, which don't count towards the total, and explain why it is so.
Note: the "Bongo Hills" 7th cage does not count, as it is obviously a glitch.

Actually - Child's Play is a level name in both cases (the world is called Playtopia) and Dark Legacy in both cases is the world name. The Jonster wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 12:53 am (bonus points for them having levels with matching names!)

That's what the wiki says! I see some similarities, but it is not as clear. Possibly Ryemanni referred to it in one of his videos. Mortamon would know for sure.Hunchman801 wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 12:46 pm I haven't played Final Showdown but could it be the level that was inspired by the SNES prototype of the original game?

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
In rayman 3, some cages have power-ups
In rayman legends, the “amazing maze” has some empty cages near the end of the level

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
Correct on the Amazing Maze.
In Rayman 3 - could you give an example of such a cage? I recall that Teensies released from some cages do give power-ups, but these cages still towards the total of each level.
Feel free to amend your answer either by explaining re: Rayman 3 or finding another game which includes cages such as the question asked for.

Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
How about the lum cages on rayman adventures (the ones filled with lums)
Re: TTQ Season 138 - dr_st
OK, I'll take this answer. It is not what I had in mind, but I admit I thought up this question in a hurry, and did not consider the lum cages (which, by the way, appear in Legends as well).
