My first serious attempt on running NMG. My goal of sub 2 hours is destroyed, so I'm pretty happy. Sorry for the lag, but my low end PC is seriously struggling to run both Rayman and the screen recorder. The run starts at 2:30.

This run is from a race against robin and despite all the mistakes is still a 1:07. Also the splitts are from Torsinn just to have something to compare for the no reset route.

Yes but which "big glitches" in Rayman 2 do not involve OoB?

The following glitches are banned in the NMG category:

• any out of bounds and clips through walls/gates
• airswims
• walking under water
• Infinite Barrel Glitch
• Grab Location Manipulation
• Void Glitch
• loadwarp (using 0.0% savestate)
• unintended warps between the levels

A lot more than just OOB, actually.

Sadly nearly all of the speedrun glitches in Rayman 2 PC involve getting oob or the goal is to get Oob to skip certain Level Parts. Thats why only 2 Levels are actually different from the NMG category. The Levels are Fairy Glade with the glm air swim in Part1 and the glm tornado skip in Part5 (in theory as well as the Laser door skip in Part3 but that glitch is really anoying thats why no one uses it) as well as Cave of bad dreams with the void glitch in Part1 to skip the orb Door and the Load warp to get back to Menhir Hills faster. In theory you have also a small timesave in Echoing caves but this one is anoying as well so yeah only those 2 Levels with those 4 Glitches which saves around 3 minutes compared to NMG. Thats why these 2 categorys are very simalar to each other and no one actually runs no oob. But yeah dont ask me why this category even exists then.

Early game was good, aside from a stupid death that happened in Marshes with the pirate. Mid game was okay aside from the time losses in Canopy and Stone & Fire. Late game was great, only having minor time losses with some movement. End game was meh, I lost about 25ish seconds in Tomb of the Ancients and got Final boss cutscene skip 2nd try.

Makes sense, thanks for the explanation! Are there videos of the orb door skip in COBD and the MH load warp? I don't remember hearing about these before.
