Rayman 3 Teensie 'Help' Clip

Post by globoxmoment »

Hi!!

I'm brand new so apologies if there's a more appropriate place this could be posted - wanted to put out feelers to see if anyone has the Teensie 'help' voice clip kicking about? I've found some folders of voice clips on here, but Teensies aren't among them. Also found a Teensie compilation on YouTube but seems to be different to the one I've heard in the PS2 version?? The one I'm thinking of is low-ish (for a Teensie voice) and monotone. Not sure if they vary across versions. Thanks in advance! :hap:

Hello there! :) I don't know if the Teensies' voices vary across versions, but they definitely vary across Teensie types. The Sylkins (Clearleaf Forest / Bog of Murk), the Griskins (Land of the Livid Dead), Grand Mini (Desert of the Knaaren / Hoodlum Headquarters), Tufkins (Summit Beyond the Clouds / Tower of the Leptys Part 2) and Nookins (Tower of the Leptys Part 1) all say it differently. Which one in particular were you thinking of?

Just loaded up some previous levels and whaddaya know - it is different! Rayman 3 is the only one of the original trilogy I didn’t grow up with so I’m only just playing it now and I didn’t clock that (I’m just starting the Desert of the Knaaren)!

It’s the Bog of Murk one, so it must be a Sylkin! :D

Maybe the folks in the modding and utilities section know how to extract sound effects from the game? 😬

Yes, for some reason phpBB replaces emojis with images from the Twemoji set.

Possibly because they're half-expecting forums to be viewed on ancient browsers / OSes that don't render emojis? :oops2: That's certainly the case for places such as http://win3x.org

This website can be browsed with an ancient version of Microsoft Internet Explorer
Backward compatibility at its best.

And yes, that's probably the assumption, or at least it was many years ago, when the feature was introduced, and since phpBB isn't actively developed anymore, just (thankfully) maintained by a small team of volunteers, it has remained that way ever since.
