Makes sense, thanks for the explanation! Are there videos of the orb door skip in COBD and the MH load warp? I don't remember hearing about these before.

I dont think there are seperate videos of these glitches. But you can look in my newest no oob run if you havent already. At 22:15 there is the cobd orb skip and at 25:20 the load warp to menhir hills.
As in explanation, for the cobd orb skip we use something we call the void state which you can trigger if you press start at the first frame when you respawn. In this state the screen turns black, the musik stops playing and most importantly some objects of the Level arent loaded in correctly. In this case its the jano head gate thingy which you open with the orbs. In void state you can just by pass this and reach the end of the Level without putting the orbs on the sockels.
For the load warp you simple have to avoid saving the game to this point. If you load another savefile with a 0% completition while in a Level you get teleportet back to the Hall of doors with the Level progress saved. This means you keep all the Lums and cages you collected and in this case the elixir of Life as well. The game will put you out where you paused the game the last time or if you havent it will put you out at woods of Light. Thats why you see me pressing start after i get out of menhir hills since this is the Level we wanna enter after cobd.

This was my first completed run of N64 Any% NMG and honestly it was more fun than I originally gave it credit for. Though the run wasn't that great since I'm not used to this category. Early game, had a bad Damage Bayoust and I got it 2nd try. Mid game, struggled with both Canopy laser skip and Whale Bay tree jump to skip a cage. Late game, started off questionably but was decent enough throughout the rest of the game's portion. End game, wasn't great I had trouble with switch 3 skip, and I got trolled in Iron Mountains robot chicken section. Overall, the run was just acceptable for now I do plan on improving this category every now and then. Also, I was unsure about Blue Orb Early being considered a major glitch so I didn't do it this run but I've been told afterwards it is allowed so that'll be implemented next run.
