Finished 60 Levels!

As I said, I was trying to semi-speedrun it, which means - sprinting to the exit as fast as possible (taking advantage of the fact that 60 Levels do not require you to collect all tings), not stopping at checkpoints, not dying, wasting as little time as possible, and taking advantage of shortcuts.

There were quite a few levels where you could skip significant portions by deviating from the 100% ting collection path, in some cases by taking some damage.

Naturally, In Cave 10 I used the "instant win tile" bug. In Cake 10 (which is quite hard for a speedrun), fortunately, the level layout allows you to skip most of it and get from the start straight into the exit chamber.

I wonder if other levels have such mega-shortcuts. I may be able to find them by investigating the maps on RayWiki.

Interestingly, I had my old saves from the previous millennium - with 26/60 levels completed (all of Jungle, Music and 6/10 Mountain). I replayed the entire game this past year, and having compared the times, found that in 13 out of these 26, I was not able to beat my old time. I must have really been trying to optimize back then!

Happens to me all the time... you think you'd beat the younger you, only to realise you've only gotten worse!

Common version has the barcode "8 716051 500902" and no serial/part numbers, the other version has "8 713747 023837" with the serial "15910489" above the barcode and "MMICDR 5708" under the UbiSoft logo on the disc.
A small follow-up: a friend with access to Marktplaats checked this for me by obtaining one of those "MMICDR 5708" copies. No minigames there either, and the overall contents seems identical to the common version. Looks like mystery is solved...

Necro-bump...

Having compared the two copies head-to-head, they appear to be binary identical, except the "MMICDR 5708" copy does not have two extra seconds of 'postgap' at the end of the data track. As a result, the start and end points of all audio tracks are shifted, but the tracks themselves are the same.

Another observation is that the "MMICDR 5708" discs are red instead of orange, and the artwork stands out more as a result.

I don't understood, does this affect the music in the game? ❓

It's almost a disappointing find for such an elusive version!

Terribly disappointing. :oops2: I think I'll try to sell off my second copy to a local retro gaming store. :P
