Some nice runs here. It's indeed unfortunate how RnG Rayman 3 can be at times. I know that all too well from scoring.

There's 10, and DOTK6 actually isn't one of them. On GameCube we do a CBSJ, but since PC doesn't have them I guess the damage boost is the option with the best speed/consistency ratio. You could probably do an ESJ but idk how reliable that would be.

As the list of levels, you have FC1 obviously, although it's debatable if we can consider you're really playing :P
Then you have FC and LOTLD teensie highways (CF one has a small timesave at the end that isn't allowed), and Summit's snowboard race.
CF and DOTK doctor offices are also played the same (LOTLD one you clip through the fence)
And left are most of the bossfights that aren't skipped, so Razoff wrecking ball phase, DOTK Reflux, Summit's boat, and the last phase of Reflux.

TLDR: FC1, CF4, TH1, BOM6, TH3, DOTK5, DOTK8, SBTC1, SBTC3, TOTL5.

That's actually a lot more than I would have thought, but it certainly makes sense when you start considering the boss levels, the Teensy highways and the "non-level". Speaking of which, I'm amused that people have actually been submitting runs for FC1...

No. The Model of the Spinneroo stands there but he has no hitbox at all as long as you havent defeated the last Hoodstormer and got access to the blue can. This is the thing for some cages of the game as well, for example the cage in bom3. As long as you havent fullfilled certain requirments some objects stay inactive or are not loaded in at all.

Thanks for the information, I had no idea! It's interesting from a speedrunning point of view, as this can provide a additional incentive to bypass some sections in that it yields time gains further down the road.

What about cages, though? Can they not be broken when inactive? This could be a problem rather than an advantage in this case.

Depends on the cage as well as your definition of "inactive". For instance, you can only get a crosshare on the first cage in LOTLD2 after using the Lockjaw for the first time, but if you can get up there without the Lockjaw, you can still break the cage by manually targetting it with a punch. However, the second cage in LOTLD2 is unbreakable if you have not killed the Grim Keeper.

That being said, it doesn't really matter except for the 100%/All Teensies categories. Iirc, all the other categories don't have any instances where a "truly" inactive cage would come up.

Basically if you hug the wall as i did in the IL while in the swamp Rayman automatically does a high jump out of it. If you do a early hover then right before the peak of the jump, Rayman gets some additional height which makes it possible to grab on that ledge. It only works on the PAL version though since you have a higher jump there due to the lower FPS. But its not a superjump of any kind so not a major glitch.
