The election announcement was pretty funny to watch, Rishi was drowned both visually and audibly.

But yeah, this was on the cards sooner or later, I think most weren't expecting it to be this soon given the summer holiday but this is gonna be an interesting couple of weeks.

Here in France both of the main parties that dominated political life for decades are only shadows of their former selves now. Let's see what the future holds for their UK equivalents.

As for Labour's predicted win, I guess that their plans to abolish the "non-dom" regime and tax carried interest like regular income is at least going to level the international playing field and benefit your neighbors.

Choosing what party to vote for will be like choosing what fatal disease to contract . They all suck and have done for quite a few decades now. The mainstream parties might as well be the same party at this point.

We may as well see the repetition of the success that the British National Party once had in the 2000s, considering how many seats Reform took during the recent local election.
