Tonic Trouble Alt+Tab?
I've been searching around and can't find anything on my error. Does the game usually go white screen and crash when alt tabbing? Would be nice to be able to switch windows lol.

Re: Tonic Trouble Alt+Tab?
If it's anything like Rayman 2, then yes I'm afraid. There's some code that's supposed to pause the game when you Alt+Tab out, but it seems to just crash in most cases. Ray2Fix short-circuits that code for Rayman 2 itself, but I don't know if anyone's done the same for Tonic Trouble…
Re: Tonic Trouble Alt+Tab?
It's possible that alt tabbing will work on earlier Special Edition Glide version of the game on archive.org.
Sadly that renderer is not present on the retail version like with Rayman 2 as an optional.
Also, I wonder if you can't just hit alt+enter to enter windowed mode every time you want to do something on your desktop, while not minimizing the game.
That might work when dgVoodoo is used as a wrapper (so like in Garo's patch iirc)

As far as I'm aware I don't think there's a way to switch to windowed mode when you're already in fullscreen. You could try pressing the Win key to try to access another window but sometimes that will cause the game to crash when you refocus it's window.
Re: Tonic Trouble Alt+Tab?
Might be worth trying out different renderers in dgVoodoo whether task switching or switching to windowed mode will start to work.
Iirc, by default, DX11 is used in the dgVoodoo configurator executable (or ini).
You can try to switch it to something else, or DX12 (if that executable is attached in Garo's patch, and the attached wrapped version is not too old).
In some situations it may lead to glitches/blurriness in the graphics, so be aware.
It might potentially depend on the dgVoodoo version, game, and GPU drivers/manufacturer whether windowed mode won't crash the game. I had some success with Rayman 2 in the past, but there are many variables here.
