There is a “YEAH!!!” In them? Nitzer Ebb will always have the better one
Re: RAYMAN IS BACK in 3D in new Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC
So I know this is a loaded question, but do you think the Phantom Show DLC is canon to the Rayman series?
I know that Davide Soliani mentioned a while back that Rayman and the Rabbids were in "two separate universes" in this interview, but that was way before this DLC.

Re: RAYMAN IS BACK in 3D in new Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC
There's no official canon in the Rayman series, so it's a question of how we decide to interpret it.
I personally like to think of it as made of separate, distinct timelines: for example, one with the original trilogy, and one with the UbiArt games. Where would Rayman in the Phantom Show fit in all that? Probably yet another one, maybe a Rabbids timeline.
But of course, everyone will have their own idea about this!

Hello, it turns out Davide Soliani is leaving Ubisoft. https://x.com/DavideSoliani/status/1816050633343938597
I'm wishing him the best in his future endeavors, and I'm curious to see what he will be up to next!
Well, he won't be the new "Michel Ancel" for Rayman as many expected, but the man should have a much brighter future not working for *that* company.Hi all folks. After 25 years, 11 of which beautifully spent working with Nintendo on Mario+Rabbids along the company of our incredible community of players, I have decided to leave Ubisoft to embark on a new adventure. I can't say more now. Thanks a lot for everything, truly

While it's unfortunate to see people with interest in reviving Rayman go, there's only so much a man can do! Let's wish him good luck in his future endeavors.

I really liked the way they characterized Rayman in this. It's like a combination of his R3 and TV Party personalities. Capable, yet exasperated.

I don’t like his personality at all in this, imo. Also why don’t we rename this topic to give it a more time-appropriated title

Sure, I've renamed it to just Rayman in the Phantom Show

Re: Rayman in the Phantom Show
Thanks! Good title considering the topic is no longer about anticipating the release
Re: Rayman in the Phantom Show
Not sure if this was shared anywhere else, but here is an interview with artist Giacomo Bono.

Woah this is cool. The robo pirates are some of my favorite antagonists ever and I find myself wondering how well they would work in a modern game lately. Pretty dang well I think.Elite Piranha wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 6:25 pm The Robo-Pirates concept art is really cool:

Re: Rayman in the Phantom Show
Their design is cool, if they had the Hoodlum's level of combat capacity I think they'd be far more intimidating.
I've dreamt of a Henchman 800 that didn't take damage, it'd just walk menacingly towards you, if you hit it it'd just flinch and then carry on moving towards you. Terrifying thing for a young un.

I wish the Robo-Pirates were in the Phantom Show DLC instead of just cardboard cut out cameos
Re: Rayman in the Phantom Show
That is pretty intimidating! It makes sense too since they're robots.Master wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 12:36 am Their design is cool, if they had the Hoodlum's level of combat capacity I think they'd be far more intimidating.

Re: Rayman in the Phantom Show
Outdated, since this is before the DLC was released, but I thought this was a fun video by the Duke of Dorks.

Re: Rayman in the Phantom Show
It's not a first party game so it's not subject to Nintendo's tax.
