Right now, I’m diving into a few games that I'm really enjoying. I’ve been hooked on Hades for its fantastic blend of roguelike mechanics and rich storytelling. Stardew Valley has been my go-to for relaxing and managing my farm. Also, I recently picked up Elden Ring and am loving the challenging open world. Each game offers something unique, and I’m having a blast with all of them. What about you all? What’s currently on your gaming playlist?
You didn’t have to quote the whole first post. ;)

On the topic at hand, I’ve started playing FFXV again.

I recently found all the pearls and animals in Beyond Good & Evil, it was not as difficult as I expected it to be.

How do you like it? Did you play the original too?
I have collected many PVZ toys and I have completed the original version at least five times :D.
Cool! I own a physical copy of PvZ for PC. Bought it at a Walmart, I think. Then a couple of days later, at a different Walmart, I saw the "collector's edition" with the sunflower toy, for the same price. Boy have I regretted not getting that one instead. 🤦‍♂️

Yes, especially with the Pearl and Animal detector. I recall there was one or two animals where I just couldn't figure out exactly what to do for a long time, and once maybe I broke down and searched on the internet.

I think we've all been in that point. It really depends on the situation, of course, maybe you only need a little break, but let me give you an advice... Sometimes it's good to try something different! After a long time stuck in the same kinds of games, playing something completely different to what I'm used to gave me back the desire to play videogames again. In my case, both Tunic and Dark Souls (I've completed it last week) were amazing and I really enjoyed the experience. Who knows what will bring you back that desire, you just have to try ;)

Just curious about it... Remaster or original version?

____

Last week I completed Dark Souls 1 for the very first time! I thought it was going to be harder, but it wasn't! The first half of the game is a masterpiece, one of the best game designs I've ever seen, but I can't really say the same about the second half of the game! My feeling is that they really wanted to finish the game quickly, and my feeling was confirmed to me true after reading a bit about the development. Still, the game is very enjoyable

Tunic is one I definitely need to get round to playing. I acquired it when it was a ps plus monthly game and still haven’t yet downloaded it. I should definitely give it a shot!

Dark souls is definitely one of those games that just isn’t really my type. I play Elden ring, but I’m no good at it at all. I think there will be a phase in my life when I get obsessed with soulslike games, but that just isn’t now

Tunic can also be considered a souls game, but I think it's more similar to Zelda than to Dark Souls. The gameplay and the design are both fantastic, but the Easter eggs are something that are definitely going to blow your mind!

Dino Storm, a cowboy dinosaur MMO.

I learned of it yesterday, and me being a dino sperge, I had to play it. For a game that was released in 2013, graphics aren't bad, but I do find the dino selection to be a bit lacking. Like, Velociraptor isn't on the roster as it's usually featured in every other video game about dinosaurs. Maybe it's not included because it takes place in the Americas, both Northern and Southern. (I just looked it all up, and yep, all dinos from the Northern and Southern hemispheres respectively)

Yeah, I was surprised I didn't have to look for a guide on the internet. The animals that gave me the most trouble where the space whale and the bubble flea, in both cases I recognized that something was there, but I didn't now what to do until the second or third time I visited the areas where they can be found.

The original version, I took advantage of the special offer and used the discount code on top of that, so I almost paid nothing for it.

Btw, it is kind of funny that during the races, Double H says: "We're gonna do it, we're gonna do it, we're gonna do it!!", even if you're in 8th place .

I started playing FF: Crystal Chronicles recently. Watched my sister and her friends play it a long time ago and wanted to try it myself after flopping horribly in the first level when I played the first time.

I've always liked the atmosphere of that game! It's got oneiric environments and the perfect soundtrack to match. If I remember correctly, I was very close to finishing it, but couldn't defeat the final boss. :oops2:

I'm amazed nobody's bumped this topic for Record Day.

I've been playing quite a bit lately, since we hit up our friendly game store in the next town over every few months and tend to find something to take home. For me I've picked up a few things lately, just the oddball puzzle games that I've either heard of somewhere (Flip's Twisted Adventure, Mercury Meltdown Revolution) or the ones I couldn't stop looking at (Arthur and The Invisibles). Though Arthur's sorta both, since I remember seeing it advertised when I was a kid and never saw the movie. I always liked the idea of small people in intricate handmade-looking worlds like that, so I'm quite at home with it despite knowing literally nothing about the game.

I also have a ton of games I need to get back to, wonder if there's a thread for wanting to tackle backlogs somewhere.

Recently I've been trying to get somewhere in Ikaruga on my switch, also. I really need one of those GameCube controllers, the Joycon's stick just feels too small and cheap for me. I need better grip and more precision here, and the Joycon is just not going to do that for me. I got spoiled playing Ikaruga on the GameCube while at my friend's house. I can get to Stage 2's boss but that's it; on the GameCube I got halfway through Stage 3. I also had more lives on the GameCube one though, so that might have something to do with it...

I'm probably going to get back to Splatoon 3 a bit, playing online is always fun, and frustrating too.

But I enjoy playing Anarchy Open with friends.

Glad I could help make the topic more accessible! :mryellow:

Double Dash is a pretty good one, though I've never played Tour. That's the mobile one, right?

Yes it is! I really don’t like that I’ve become hooked onto the game though considering how much I think this game is rigged.

Yeah, I remember hearing about that one! I don't have a good enough phone for it, but I'm more of a console/pc person myself. Not really that big on the mobile scene aside from the 12 or so that I've held onto on my old iPad that I play once in a blue moon.

Don't worry about it being rigged, every Mario Kart is!
