I've completed it so many times since then that I've lost count. If it wasn't record day right now, I'd probably do it again. Though some of the special stages are a bit tricky, I'll admit. Also Starlight Zone is stupidly short.
Tbh Starlight is my favorite zone in Sonic 1, which makes it worse that it's so short :tssk:

I would say my favorite zone is Scrap Brain Zone, with Star Light being a close second. The music is sooooo good in both zones.

What do yall think of 8-bit Sonic 1, I don't think it's all that fun, but it has great music.

Oh I hate Scrap Brain, I just brute force my way through it most of the time. But I've been getting better at it. The final boss is a total bore though :tssk: ...Maybe I shouldn't hang out in the safe spot on the far right.

I dunno what my favorite zone is, but I'm very good at Green Hill, so probably that one. They didn't use the smashing through walls thing enough, it's only in Green Hill and Starlight. I suppose the floor in Marble counts too?

(As for 8-Sonic 1, cool extra zones there, Bridge, Jungle, Sky Base...I thought the map was a nice touch too.)

I never actually finished the 8-bit version. I don't even remember where I left off.

Green Hill is a great zone too, very iconic. It would probably my third favourite zone in Sonic 1.

Green Hill is objectively good, but I've gotten a bit sick of it over time.

I've played it.

NEVER AGAIN.

Maybe don't put Sonic Advance's physics in a Sonic 1 port?...But yeah, sheesh. I thought it was a bootleg for the longest time, or some kind of sick joke. I just assumed Sega only cared about Sonic 2 and tries to forget the 1st game ever existed.

Ah ok good, Sonic Advance was pretty alright. I think it and Sonic 2 were the first Sonic games i ever played, before I even played the Adventures games. So there's some nostalgia there.

I think Sonic Advance is great, but those special stages are pure crap. :mefiant:

Oh my gosh I hated those special stages. Had no idea I could trick the first time I played through any special stages. I often ended a round without getting any emeralds. So yeah i sucked bad back then.

I should say I've never been much interested about the Sonic movies but for some reason this trailer intrigues me
