I was actually thinking about the same thing for the box art thread, since the images were way too big and I had to resize them before uploading.

I for some reason recall them scaling to a certain size in the past, then opening full size if you clicked on them. Then again, I could be remembering wrong...

Yeah, I remember that, if the image was a certain size a thumbnail was created and if you clicked on it you could see the full size version (example).

This is exactly the behaviour I would expect; a thumbnail at a reasonable size, which you can click on to view it full size. This would be especially useful in the art threads, where at the moment, a single image can actually take up more than my full screen height (I have a 2560x1440 monitor), preventing it from being properly viewable.

I've noticed that thumbnails can get very atrocious in size with larger images, the fact there is nothing to limit the max height doesn't help.

I'll tell you what, I'll propose a fix to Hunchman about this, since often help with the CSS of this site, I shouldn't have any issues fixing it there. Thumbnails should be what they are called, thumbnails.

Yeah exactly, it becomes overkill, and a lot of the images even end up being taller than my browser's view height.

Sounds good also, I look forward to seeing how it turns out!

I wonder if there is way to hide avatars and signatures, but only when you are using a Mobile Device.

Not built in anyway. I guess you could use uBlock, but it'd be awkward to set up...

Hey fellas, Chronic & I finally made 4 gifs of the silly Rabbids we made for the game Rabbids Go Home, like we said we were going to a few years back...The problem is, I'm not sure where or HOW to post the gifs...

Would it be considered fan art, or...Something? :pardon2: Do people post gifs on this site actually? I've never seen one.

Thanks so much for the reply, I'll head right on over! Gee, I didn't even know there was a Rayman GIFS thread. I guess I was just using all the wrong search words... :oops2:

I have a question: are tings still exchanged for anything? I couldn't find much information on them beyond ways to obtain them.

You can use this list

viewtopic.php?t=194

It changes your rank the more tings you get

Thanks! Sorry I overlooked that important post. So seems they are like the XP between each rank. Cool system!

I took a look but I was unable to clarify: does donating Tings derank you to the rank associated with the number of Tings you have left, or does it just remove the amount of Tings you donated without affecting your rank?

It drops your rank. So does having your tings removed

Does anyone know why a lot of old links on this forum (e.g. Tehrunescape455’s sig) take you to some scummy porn/malware site? Thanks! :)

Aha, thanks for pointing that out!

Some background: InvisionFree was a free forum hosting site that was around in the late 2000s, which I guess a lot of people used back when "running your own forum" was still a thing people wanted to do. There were a few Rayman forums on it, and the most influential one was probably Betilla's Gardens, which was set up by the aforementioned Tehrunescape. (In fact, that was the first Rayman forum I ever used actively!)

A few years ago, InvisionFree was taken over by Tapatalk, which resulted in those forums getting covered in ads and otherwise becoming less pleasant to browse. For a while, the "invisionfree.com" links still redirected to the equivalent Tapatalk sites, but it looks like that's not the case anymore.

It seems that Tapatalk, being Tapatalk, allowed the "invisionfree.com" domain to lapse, and then it got taken over by, as you put it, a "scummy porn/malware site". Fantastic! I guess it might be a good idea for me to go and fix those links if I can, to avoid our users being misdirected…

Good idea PluM! Hope I never have to click them ever again! :fou2: (you know, it’s a nasty surprise when you wanna click an old link to get to a bit of history ) thanks for sharing a bit of history about it as well 8)

Well it took almost six hours, but it's done (assuming I didn't miss any :oops2:). The Betilla's Gardens URLs were all straightforward, as the forum (thank God!) still exists in its entirety on Tapatalk. A lot of the older ones had disappeared even before the Tapatalk takeover, so I ended up putting in archive links, or just disabling the links altogether. It was yet another reminder of the pervasiveness of link rot :( (I was wrong about the "late 2000s" thing, there were way more diverse InvisionFree links around here before Betilla's Gardens came along in 2008, going back to the very beginning!)
