I once went through an exercise where you read a text in Russian, and gradually all characters in the alphabet get replaces with Georgian ones. By the end of it I could recognize most of the Georgian alphabet well enough to be able to read (slowly but surely) and comprehend the text (which was still in Russian, just using Georgian characters).

Of course, an hour later I forgot it all.

That's interesting to hear, I don't know if I would be capable of that! Not that it takes more than a couple weeks to know the letters well, but at least you remember them after that.

Yes, and at every step there were more Georgian characters and fewer Cyrillic ones.
