I meant any kind of white chocolate but yeah that kind has more sugar than dark and even milk chocolate. Don’t get me wrong: if any kind of chocolate’s placed in front of me I’ll eat it but I’ve been trending more towards semi-sweet or dark chocolate rather than white or milk as of late.Master wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2024 10:42 pm As in any sorta white choc or some variety in particular?
I'm fond of white, dark and regular dairy milk chocolates. I used to trend more dark chocolate but there was this crunchy Cadbury Caramilk that took my fancy but they seem to have stopped and I haven't really found a chocolate to replace it. Plain old White is alright but it lacks texture and feels too sweet without something inside to complement it. I find I'm also feeling the same about regular Dairy Milk as well these days as well, so maybe I'm just getting less tolerant of pure sugar![]()

I see, so you’re the kind of person that likes dark chocolate. Totally understand that!

Re: Chocolate topic
White chocolate shouldn’t even be allowed to be called chocolate, to be honest, I doubt it is even in the states, but it somehow gets away with it very cleverly, considering “white chocolate” is its own product. Milk chocolate is a bit (a lot
) better, but 60%+ chocolates are the best (I doubt milk chocolate can even manage 10%
)
Re: Chocolate topic
I favour dark chocolate only for the iron content, since I have some degree of iron deficiency. Good brands find ways to balance out the flavour without sacrificing cocoa content. My favourite brand is Guylian Belgian chocolate sea shells but I also like chocolatiers who experiment with unique flavour combinations.

Re: Chocolate topic
I like chocolate with a filling as well. My favourite are the ones with chocolate butter on the inside
Re: Chocolate topic
Yeah about that, I find that dark chocolate with some kind of other flavor like chili or orange is really good, like these:Hugo wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2024 10:32 am I favour dark chocolate only for the iron content, since I have some degree of iron deficiency. Re: Chocolate topic
Yeah it’s nice when dark chocolate has some other flavoring to it. I recently tried several bars from Chuao that had pretzels and toffee, honeycomb, and one that tasted like smores. They all were delicious and they lasted me awhile, which is great!Aaron wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2024 7:53 pm Yeah about that, I find that dark chocolate with some kind of other flavor like chili or orange is really good, like these:

Chilli tho? I'm a little afraid to try that, even though I like a lil spice in regular contexts

I think it’d be one of those flavours that sound weird but taste great
Re: Chocolate topic

Re: Chocolate topic
Been trying some different chocolate bars. I think I’ve gotten up to 70% now. I think I’ve come to love the combination of dark chocolate and orange together.
